Update News (Patreon)

I've now changed my goals from number of patrons to earnings, which I've also made public. You can also see how many patrons are in which tiers. The first goal is set at $135 which, at current pledge amounts, would equal to roughly 40 patrons. Which is what the original patron based goal was set at.

$135 converts to roughly £100, which is what I give to my parents each month, and just about covers the food I eat. I have other expenses, like keeping my sole mode of transport, my bike on the road, but fortunately, even though we're not there yet with pledges, commissions are making up for the rest. 

However, trying to live by commissions alone isn't sustainable. I can only do 2 or 3 commissions a week, and can only charge so much for my skill. So there's a limit there, and I don't want to wake up in my 50's, 20 odd years from now, still working day-to-day hoping they keep coming in. There's no financial security there. It works for now, but we're going to have to grow this Patreon, reach that goal, then go beyond it. I wouldn't be able to do this without all of your help, and for all of you that are with me now, thank you again.

About Arkuatica, I'm now far enough along that I can say that issue 4 will be completed sometime in the last week of November at the latest. I'm currently working through pages 6&7 and will be completing pages 8&9 by the end of this month.
