I love drawing Baizhu and Zhongli interacting (even out of bed, yes lol)!! Look at my pretty Zhu a little blushy, sleep deprived but still smiling, clueless that he's greeting his past and future husband... and Zhongli all dressed up for his man 🥹💘 Baizhu rescued a wet dog in ep.6 and he turned into a Daddy haha

Speaking of Zhongli, I've been comparing his faces since his first un-stoned appearance and on one hand it's hilarious to see he's been through some major plastic surgeries and aged approximately 20 years, but on the other hand he's finally looking closer to what I have in mind!! 🧡

On to a different aspect of the making-of of this HoS episode: thanks to Patrons on Discord who suggested me flowers to put into Zhongli's bouquet! All the suggestions had the sweetest meanings, very fitting for Baizhu, but I had to simplify for drawing and narrative purposes. I ended up choosing:

White Lillies (Liliums) - associated with purity and innocence. Blooming in spring, they represent new life. In Christianity, they're used as a metaphor for love and beauty, as well as promise of eternal life. Suggested by Keiki 💜

Everlasting Flower (Helichrysum bracteatum) - symbolize eternal love, hope and remembrance. Suggested by Sarah 🩷

More flowers among the suggested ones that I was considering, from Sarah and Myr:

Rainbow Rose (Fontanian flower in Genshin) - from in-game lore are said to represent passion and romantic encounters.

Red Roses - true love. As simple as that.

Windflowers (Anemones) - Anticipation

Sea Lavender (Limonium sinuatum) - Remembrance

Sweet Peas - Blissful pleasure

Pink Roses - Gratitude
