I wrote the first draft for this chapter 2 years ago (!), this one of those events I've been looking forward to illustrate for so long!! The plan changed along the way, for instance this was meant to be the moment Wriothesley bids farewell to Neuvillette after granting him one last favor, but with the evolution of the story (their storyline in particular) it needed adjustment... this version fits the long time scope I have in mind better!

Even more than this chapter, I am SO EXCITED to work on the next one!! It's going to be many pages packed with emotions! If you have any remaining question about Neuvillette's behavior and choices, they will be answered then, as we wrap up what happened between him and Wrio in the present samsara and in their past life, before moving to Part 3 of Heart of Stone that will be entirely Zhongzhu centric 🧡💚 I'm already planning some nice visual and narrative options to tell the story I have in mind!
