Haaaappy February!
I want to talk a little about my OCs today! Slowly working towards more original works (amongst work) so I wanted to properly introduce you to them!
I think some of you are already familiar with Macaron!
She had a different design before but I decided I wanted to change it up a bit and merge it with another character from before...! Siamese cats are my favorite so I had to make Macaron based on it as one of the main characters in the story!
Macaron used to be a model which is why she has a lot of cute outfits + photoshoots....like the valentines doodle that I posted on my sns accounts!
For an (unspecified) reason, she quit her job as a model and now is working as an apprentice at a small cafe named "Lettre"....in which my next character "Onigiri" is the owner of!
This is the first official design of Onigiri!!!.....(unless?)
Kya!! Fluffy tail!!! so short!!! so cute!!! is what you would think...but don't be fooled by her appearance, she's an old old lady on the inside (she does like wearing cute clothes though...)
^ Yes this is also her...but from a distant past she doesn't want to talk about....yet |- ' )
I want to slowly work towards building the world they live in and introducing it to everyone bit by bit! I also have other side characters being designed too so I hope you look forward to meeting them!
I think for a very long time I've chased after shadows or others only to find out that I haven't been listening to myself and discovering what I want to create as an artist...It was a bit of a wake up call after talking to other illustrators and creators and their view on "creating"!
I hope I can keep myself motivated to create what I truly enjoy this year!
Thank you again for all your support in what I do!!
p.s. I visited "Kanjyoten" before opening and got to see my illustration on display!! If you happen to be in Japan before March 29th, make sure to check it out!
p.p.s I was thinking about making JP versions of my fanbox posts to practice my Japanese writing skills a bit... Not sure if I want to make it a completely separate post or just make a really long post with both languages haha (Would it also help others who are studying Japanese maybe? I'll think about it!)
p.p.p.s. I've been updating more frequently on instagram since their posting system feels really well integrated with other features, so I'll also be posting some timelapse etc. there!! https://www.instagram.com/naguri
