Happpppy June!!!

It's already past the mid-way point of June which means...we're already past half way through 2026....time sure flies!!!!

I think I was somehow really lucky that I didn't have that many deadlines lined up so I could work on a lot of originals on my own time...but when I checked my calendar apparently I did have the usual amount of work and I just bulldozed my way through it along with working on originals haha


A lot of work stuff got announced recently too!!

I'm always really happy when stuff I've worked on gets announced since they usually take months or years to get released...! A chunk of them sometimes don't ever get to see the light of day so I'm always happy to see it....hehe

It's going to be a bit of a long post today |- ' )

IGX 2026

This is the piece I drew for IGX2026 this year! This image just popped into my head as soon as I heard the theme and I'm quite happy with how it turned out!

They also released it as this special acrylic board?? HOW DID THEY DO IT?! IT'S MAGICAL!!!!

XART has always put so much thought and effort into creating high quality products I'm always amazed and looking forward to what they will create...!

I think the sales period fo IGX2026 is over, but if you ever want to own high quality prints definitely be on a lookout for XART's releases!!

Duel Masters Gold Treasure

I got to draw the gold treasure version of the Duel Masters card《天彩の精霊ミルディアス》!!

I am not the most well-versed person on TCGs but I think Duel Masters collaborates with different creators to create an alternate version of already existing cards!

I had a lot of fun with this one!

I'm really happy I got a chance to draw them officially...! I got excited and ended up drawing a full(?) version too haha

I got to draw....or redraw?? the key visual for the Draw It Again! illustration contest that pixiv is holding right now!

It's a contest where you can enter by re-drawing an older illustration you have drawn before!

There's also a process video that goes over my thought process behind recreating the piece so definitely check it out! o w <)b

(I was still a bit sick when we recorded so I sound a bit shriveled up haha)

I have no idea how I'm keeping track of all things but somehow my life is staying afloat so it's all good I guess!!!

It's been a really fun first half of the year and there are even more exciting things that I've been working on in the later half too (hopefully, crossing fingers), so I hope you guys look forward to it!

I also went to visit COMITIA156 and got a really good boost in motivation to draw too!!

I think Chestnut might be my favorite of your OCs so far. What was her relation with Macaron? Also woah I did see the stuff you worked on that you spoke of, but seeing it all listed out like this reminds me just how much work you manage to do (and that's only what we see!). Be sure to get some good rest too when you can Naguu, and thank you for the updates on things. Looking forward to seeing more of your works and more of the things to come - w-b

Thank you for the updates Nagu-sensei! It really is amazing how you can do so much work and still stay on top of everything! Also, really neat that you're working with XART again, since it gives me more opportunities to get physical pieces of your artwork!! I hope in the future I'll have better ways of displaying it, but it has to stay in the boxes for now ;_; Do you ever get to do anything with all the artwork that doesn't get released, or do they just stay locked in the vault forever...? lol As always, I'll continue to support you!

It felt like there was a lot of official works and originals posted recently, so not too surprising it was from you pulling off both simultaneously! Its unfortunate that there are illustrations locked away by others and wont see the light of day, but such is life. The redraw video was really interesting to watch how intentional and fleshed out your choices and thoughts were when making changes. While I havent been following since the original was made, I want to keep supporting and see how another 13 years will look like (and everything on the way). Cute cat girl and good luck on deadlines!

Oh my... cant believe it's June already (O xO) Hope you're doing well after being sick last month and take care in the midst of incoming heatwave!! I still remember few months ago when you said you want to create more OG characters, and it makes me so happy that your work and focus on that turns out so beautiful!! About the deadline part... tbh after seeing how much works you did over the year, i am starting to think you're desensitized with amount of homework, haha..ha (plis dont forget to take care of yourself tho..) Thank you for getting them!! I hope I can also make some items that are a bit smaller/easier to keep too! As for the stuff that doesn't get released, it usually doesn't make it out of the vault! (Unless the client utilizes it elsewhere...) Once I hand in the work my part of the job is done so I let go of it mentally until it gets released (or doesn't!) and sometimes it pops up when I least expect it haha

thanks for the hard work! My IGX 2025 print is currently in transit and did get the 2026 one too! You did such a good job on these! It really is the second half of the year already... getting really hot and I am melting in my office at home with no AC. Hope you have some AC at your place haha... thanks for the update! ordered one of the IGX2026 print but feels like the acrylic might've been the better choice, the translucent background seems to work well as a display piece glad to see you've worked on a second (?) trading card after the previous one from Weiss Schwarz, hope there's more to come

Woah Sensei was really busy this year, but as long as you have fun that's all that matters. So the cat girl with messy hair is called Chestnut, very cute name. Always look forward to more XART, since it's easy to setup shipping and i didn't have any issue with customs yet. I wonder if did you get to pick the card they let you drew for dual master, or was it assigned to you? ...stories to tell in that art (yes stories in plural, cause of multiple interpretation, from just my view!!) Is it like a fantasy comedy romance story with the protag sending a love letter to a non-human angel, or is it more like a sad story about the guy lost his loved one and the art is the ending point where he imagine his dead loved one read the letter written to her that she'd never read!? (O wO) That's why i like this art of your so much, as it's like a mirror reflecting the feeling of the viewer based on the details on the painting. Also i swore i saw another of your old art long ago also taking place at the harbor like this but at dusk. I think it's pretty cool to see the journey you've been so far is the stacking of many other inspirations in the past!! And that also applies to all other things too!! I can see you having lots of fun when looking at your new DM art too. I think i said this before but your design is really lore-closed, but still has your own signature too!!..

Take caree, Nagu-sensei, and goodluck with the homework (may be it's a good way to think up new ideas for the OG art and stories like how you listened to Woodkid, i believe in you!!) And i am glad that you're happy with everyone being happy and excited for your work!! I sometimes thought if it's too much to write too long on things i like about your art on here, X or yt, but as long as it has a chance to make your days better and let you know that your art bring so much emotion and stories that couple of words cant wrap it up, then it's worth to risk, i guess (= w=)b So cant wait to see stories you'll bring in the future!! (13 years up front, yippy!!) It's also cool that all of the arts we saw here are just tip of the iceberg of all art you drawn, where some are hidden deep in the vault (= w=)b You've worked so hard, otsu Nagu-sensei!!

XART's stuff has been really great, my print from the second summery one just came in today to go with the first and it's beautiful!! Seems like you've been busy again, but lots of neat stuff going on! It's so impressive to see how far your art has come in 13 years, both in your mechanical skill and the thought processes that go into it. Hi Nagu, glad to hear you managed to push through your work faster than usual this year. Really can't believe its already been six months... Its gonna be christmas soon if time continues like this... I didn't even know Needy Girl Overdose got an anime, I remember watching a few streams back when the game was trending and thinking that the character design was cute. I guess I gotta but it on my anime backlog. The endcard art you did is really pretty, the lighting honestly reminds me of futuristic movies, kinda like that one pink scene in Bladerunner. I really enjoyed hearing the pixiv interview and not only seeing a timelaps but also the exact thoughs you put into even the backgroup elements like the magnetic field lines. Honestly aside from the generally different/more expressive art style the subtle background/composition changes are probably the most impactfull change when comparing to the 2013 version. Good luck in the mountians of deadlines, may your climb be successfull!

Your IGX2026 artwork looks even more stunning on the special acrylic board!!! Really love how many cool printing ways exist nowadays and how well printing companies have generally become. I really love digital art but recently I've also gotten really infatuated with printing methods and how they're brought to life too! Seeing the photo of piece you drew for IGX2026 printed on acrylic give me another way to look at the photo, a darker? way of looking at it perhaps? The semi transparent and iridescent print makes your art turn into a totally different atmosphere and it is just brilliant! My (is it called sun-kissed?) print from IGX last year is finally making it way and I can't wait to display it with my Mayonaka Respite print! Xart really does super high quality prints and they look amazing. Another of my favourite merch from them is the mayonaka respite Tshirt print, where I can become a mobile display showing my favourite artist's amazing art at conventions! The contrast works so well with the black shirt, it really really catches your eye. ..Your art for Needy Girl Overdose just makes me speechless, breathtaking... love forever...
