Akari had gotten all ready to play in the mud again today.

But this time, she didn’t end up at a swamp.

“What on earth is this?”

Airi had stumbled upon a mysterious clearing deep within a deserted forest.

It was surrounded by a broken fence, and in the center lay a drum can—presumably the result of illegal dumping—with a mysterious green liquid spilling from a hole in it and spreading out like a pond.

She had stumbled upon this place by chance while searching for her usual swamp and decided to check it out on a whim.

Akari stared at the green liquid before her.

Then, after a while, her bad habit began to surface.

“…Maybe I’ll give it a try.”

Succumbing to temptation, Akari tentatively stepped into the liquid.

When she took a step forward, the liquid reached her shins, nearly submerging her rain boots.

Unlike mud, it had a squishy, viscous texture, and she felt resistance when she tried to pull her foot out.

That sensation piqued Akari’s curiosity.

“This might actually be pretty nice…”

Akari reveled in the thrill of this unfamiliar experience.

Meanwhile, the green liquid watched her, emitting a mysterious glow…
