On her way back from an investigation, Hinata got stuck in the yellowish-brown mud along the riverbank.

She struggled to free herself from the mud.

“I just can’t get out…”

Whenever she lifted one foot to pull it out, the other foot would sink deeper into the mud—perhaps because the ground beneath it was soft.

She tried repeatedly lifting and sinking her feet, but eventually, her legs were buried in the mud up to her knees.

Realizing she wouldn’t make any headway this way, she decided to try lifting her legs with all her might.

But then.

“Oh no!”

Because the ground behind her was an unstable slope covered in grass, Hinata’s body, which had been moving violently, suddenly plunged into the mud.

She sank up to her waist, and the yellowish-brown mud clung thickly to her lower body.

On top of that, her right arm was stuck deep in the mud, and no matter how hard she tried to pull it out, it wouldn’t budge.

Hinata found herself in an even more desperate situation.

“What should I do…?”

Will Hinata be able to escape from this mud…?

The second supporter-submitted post for September continues the story of Hinata in the muddy swamp.

Last time, she was sunk up to her knees, but I thought it would be a waste not to have her fall all the way into the mud, so I had her sink further.
