Exclusive dev update of No escape: Game edition! (290) (Pixiv Fanbox)

Heyooo folks, Scriptor here with the latest dev newsss!

Game development

The last two days I’ve been busy spriting, together with writing and implementing some of the smaller scenes into the game: Like with the other traps I want to do a combination of 2D and 3D graphics. So that the action going on in the (3D) images is directly visible on the 2D map as well; itmakes the peril all the sweeter right? ;3

All these sprites required for the three traps of the upcoming build are done, though I’ll be holding off on implementing them (and the traps in general) until I’ve got most of the drider stuff out of the way. Speaking of which, those sprites are done as well; graciously provided by Tonkatsu/Jacketfreak. Shoutout to yea bud; you da man! 💯🔥

Besides all of that spriting I’ve also managed to implement some of the “smaller” scenes of V0.31.1 already; these being the story scene aboard the prisonship and the drider introduction scene in the woodlands. Plan for tomorrow and Friday is to write and implement the rubber drider’s capture sequence (want to have that one in before the weekend arrives), and (if possible) do a good chunk of the drider’s fail-state as well. 💪

Onto the teasers!

Teasers

First in-game teasers of the upcoming build today! With the twins arriving at the ship’s mainframe and immediately noticing something’s off... I don’t think that mainframe core is supposed to be bright red girls!

And two teasers of the third trap! Besides weird rubber cords and dubious armors the castle’s ruins also holds a rather suspiciously looking chest. That said, I’m sure it’s fine, all other chests have been safe up until-

... Ah.

And that’s all for this dev update, see you all at the next one this Sunday!

Greetz,

Scriptor
