Next week's page!

This is the last of the buffer we've had since I'm currently traveling for my sister's wedding. The update following this will be the same on the site and patreon, although patrons will continue to receive page updates a day or so early.

Adam Chan

Dr. Manhattan would like a word with you, Jadis.

Guy Rixon

Jadis' world-view: precise, exact, flawless ... and about to be proved wrong. Kill Six Billion Preconceptions.

Paris Oliveros

Jadis is encased in glass but also, so is everything else.

Kithas

Ah, yes, the old deterministic nihilist who is also kinda right considering there is a script to follow

SoylentRobot

this is the best version of Sloth ever

doeful

Big fan of this Sloth, who tried so hard to know everything and learn all that they kinda looped back around to the point in their life where they had no ambition

Peter

We live in a society, Alison

Philip Eisner

The best response in other fiction to the question posed: “My advice to you, my violent young friend, is to seek out gold, and sit on it.” The Dragon to Grendel in John Gardner’s “Grendel.”

Owen Hart

another answer to that question is the aesthetic one, as Nietzsche put it "we have our highest dignity in our significance as works of art, for it is only as an aesthetic phenomenon that existence and the world are eternally justified" (from The Birth of Tragedy)

Jerkus Jerkus

“Oh, um, here’s breakfast! It’s nice! It has eggs!”

Iris

My answer to that is usually "So what?"

Lange

Something tells me Jadis isn't entirely accurate

Michael Bruner

Welp, no hope, story's over I guess!

YourKingMob

Holeeee shit. Okay now it is making sense

Rural Bibliophile

So the questions are, did she see both aspects of the wheel and can a demiurge Dumbo's Feather themselves so hard it becomes real?

Guy Rixon

Jadis' flight presumably takes her to the observing chair for another look at the shape. If it's different, and the future with it, that would be an icepick though her certainties. But (as I suggested in another place), I think it's when Allison looks into the machine at the shape that everything changes.

Matthew Dunne

This process of getting previews has been nice and all, but I'll honestly be relieved for everybody to be on the same page again.

Kyle

It's really important to have conversations like this with the heroine when she's too weak to punch you in your goddamn face.

Just glad you're able to be updating again. Hope all's well with you and the famiy.
