The latest on Ludwig Kaiser.

Ludwig Kaiser aka El Grande Americano was arrested  on battery charges following an incident in April.

It was reported by False Finish that WWE management isn’t expected to discipline him at this time. Beyond that, Fightful Select has spoken to a number of sources within the company that believe the story about him defending himself and Andrea Bazarte from ICE comments was planted within WWE. There was an unfamiliar number that reached out to several members of the wrestling media with the story, as opposed to Kaiser or Andrea themselves, or a member of WWE’s team.

Those we spoke to in WWE also expect that the charges will eventually be dismissed, based on information they’ve received. Kaiser doesn’t have any heat within the company among those that we spoke to, and WWE was filled in with the details by the night of the arrest.

As far as talent reaction, some were in disbelief of the narrative that was put out about the situation being a “defense,” and said Kaiser should have just removed himself from the situation.

Kaiser is not expected to have any issues traveling for shows now that clearance has been provided by a judge. WWE did not expect him to miss his upcoming mask vs. mask match with El Grande Americano regardless.

This is one of those things you leave the lie alone if you are in the promotion and let it be part of the Kayfabe in an era where very little kayfabe is allowed to exist. That lie is just too good for the character he plays to not leave it alone and run with it.

He's gotta have some sort of restraint here too... he was practically trying to bang her in the elevator with somebody else in there and then a comment sets him off... like no shame or restraint? C'mon..

The ICE comment makes sense... Especially if the guy lives in the same building and knows he is an immigrant himself... Let's face it, everyone has a button that can be pushed. It would appear Kaiser's is old men talking about his women...

I don’t get why he’d risk his ability to live and work in the US, and possibly his employment over something someone said.

The lie is actually awful. Why would you want that to stay kayfabe at the expense of an innocent person? Disgusting behavior by WWE and you as well for endorsing it.

Kyle Cotton

The lie being he defended the honor of his significant other from threats of having ICE called on her at a time when he’s the most over Babyface in Mexico because of his passionate embrace of the country’s culture. And bold of you to assume the person who set him off by saying something is innocent.

Defending your girlfriend from someone being racist is awful now?

CSDX

Can you tell me what you mean by planted, please? Does that mean the story about the ICE comments being the reason was faked?

Josh Howard

That's the current rumor, based on the coincidence of his current gimmick/work with AAA and the implications of defending the honor of an immigrant over hateful rhetoric that is a current political hot button. The only story that was official was what was in the police report, which was that the guy got off the elevator and told him to have some manners and he attacked him for it. There's camera footage but it's unclear if there is an audio component for it or not. The ICE comment and claim of defending against hate came later, after the alleged victim's claims were made public with his arrest, and I guess it sounds too perfect to not be some sort of conspiracy involving WWE leaking it. You know how this crap starts.

Ah ok. Thank you for explaining it to me.
