Update on two more contracts in AEW (Patreon)

Recently, Fightful reported that two AEW mainstays have contracts coming up. With about one week left in those deals, we have an update.

The members of the former Acclaimed, Anthony Bowens and Max Caster, see their contracts with All Elite Wrestling expire at the start of October. In following up about the status of the two, Fighful Select's Sean Ross Sapp was told that there haven't been negotiations about a new deal, or word that new deals will be offered, or not offered for that matter. Things appear quiet on the front with both of them.

The duo reunited last year, but it was short lived. Max Caster hasn't been on AEW TV of late, but worked select independents this year. Anthony Bowens has been on AEW TV a lot more frequently, joining the Opps stable. He wrestled at AEW All In, but that's his only in ring appearance since late July.

The Acclaimed are former AEW World Tag Team Champions and Trios Champions.

Hmmmm. Interesting. On the surface, these two seem to be well suited for so many positions/roles/characters, but it never seems to come off (the tag run aside). The Bowens character after the tag never landed & wasn't presented well. The Caster challenge ge could have been something, but he never got his run after months of humiliation. Has to be more to the story for the pair. More we'll probably never learn.

If AEW were going to offer them new deals that would have happened long ago. The fact they have not offered them deals tells me they are not interested in retaining them. I think there is a place for the Acclaimed in the tag division, but maybe that ship has sailed. Acclaimed vs New Level would be pretty cool

Everyone loves The Acclaimed, apparently except for the dude who put them together in the first place. It's messed up that they haven't been re-signed. TK dropped the ball with them. Caster even got his gimmick over when losing all those matches on collision. Bowens is miscast in the opps. Acclaimed Every Wednesday!

I think Anthony might stay seeing he still on tv but max might leave though.

Could see them coming into WWE and reunite as The Acclaimed there. Let’s see what happens

It always has felt to me like they got tired of Max getting in trouble and they split them off so have bowens do his own thing.
