Who do you feel has had the most potential with the worst luck/booking? Who should be a huge star but, through no fault of their own, weren't able to ascend that proverbial ladder?
Wardlow has gotta be up there. The guy got hurt a lot, and was on the bench a lot. Hopefully this is the opportunity he's looking for upon his return. But pretty much since the win over MJF years ago, it just hasn't worked out for him, and we're going on four and a half years. Adam Cole has gotta be up there too. Got in one of the top spots in AEW, and got two really bad injuries. Switchblade Jay White is one of the worst luck stars as well. Historically, probably Mr. Kennedy, outside of full on tragedies. He would still be doing guest spots on WWE TV if not for an injury that took him out of having Money in the Bank.
Another AEW PPV & no Buddy Matthews. Should we worry he'll be kept away forever, i.e. Wardlow?
I think he'll come back. They have at least a year on him due to the injury, or so it would seem appear. But it's very hard to believe to me that they would just park him for a full year, when he could fit in a tag team, a trio, United Empire, a feud or team with Brody King. He's a fantastic performer and fits a number of places.
What's your favorite Pac match or moment. RIP to our bastard.
I have two specifically. The Sami Zayn vs. Neville match in NXT went such a long way in solidifying Sami Zayn and telling a special story. Neville/Pac was so believable that it made Zayn as an underdog work even more. I bought everything that Pac did because he was really great at his job, and helped convey aggression and emotion as well as anyone.
