That was some really interesting stuff, I wonder where they take this!

It's amusing to me how likeable/respectable a lot of Zeonic people are shown to be while their faction's aesthetics are so cartoon bad guy coded

Zoe Breeden

its a real "good people under an awful regime" situation with zeon in the original series

Lexie

Petty Officer is a military rank, not a nickname.

Can any Gundam experts explain the Federation uniform designs? It looks like at least four variations: the grey uniform we see some Federation regulars (Bright, Matilda, etc.), the dark blue uniform Amuro and the other "drafted civilian" male crew wear; the pink uniform worn by the "drafted civilian" female crew; the light blue uniform worn by Matilda's co-pilot. Anyone know what the distinctions mean?

The navy equivalent of an NCO (sergeant, etc.)

Amusing that this bunch of Zeon soldiers were the most casual ever, despite being highly competent at the same time. If they'd been issued with bombs with remote or 30-second timers, the Gundam would have been toast... (This problem does happen in real-life: Argentine air force had fuse-timing issues with their bombs, which saved a lot of Royal Navy ships during the Falklands War.)
