Valar Morghulis means “all men must die” in the fictional language High Valyrian. Great Season Finale. I feel a GOT binge coming on.

This episode seems to be about making hard choices. Qhorin Halfhand was in the show for like 20 minutes and he's one of my favorite characters. He knows how to make a hard choice. Meanwhile, Theon seems boxed in to every choice he makes by trying not to look bad...and every choice he makes absolutely makes things worse for him. He never learned how to take a loss in order to do the right thing. Arya wants to go to Bravos, but family comes first. Daenerys could have had her choice of illusions to live in, but chose hard reality rather than a soft cage (with an illusionary throne or the very real seeming illusions of Drago and their son). Brienne is willing to do anything to keep her vows. She'll kill Stark men while in service to Catelyn. Right now she's showing more honor than any of the princes. That includes Robb who we love but who just went back on his word. Like Maester Aemon said: "Love is the death of duty". Sam's friends Grenn and Edd left him because it was flee or die time. It would have been nice for them to stay and help Sam, and I'm sure they would have if it would make a difference, but not being a hero just so you can survive is making a hard choice too. Anyway, I said all of that to say this: I love it when they put the characters up against a hard choice. Love 'em or hate 'em, that's when you see who they really are.

2026-10-26 12:00 Just a suggestion, I've seen other reactors of GOT jot down lil notes throughout the episode so they remember what they liked, important scenes, fav quotes, questions etc to then talk about in the outdo. Anyways, loved the reaction, can't wait for more!
