So if you go back to the Season 2 episode titles and rearrange their first letters, they spell out "Fring's back" 😎 Also, a couple more characters that might have slipped under the radar: Francesca from the office actually ends up being Saul's secretary later on in Breaking Bad. Plus the guy in the Escalade outside the restaurant was Victor, you might not have recognized him without getting his throat sliced by a box cutter...

N.T. Stars

Francesca is one of the characters who breaks the most bad between BCS and BB 😆 It's hard to picture this pleasant lady shredding documents for Saul and extorting Walt for $25,000.

Ooooh yeeeah, love me some more Gus!! Its so great how they use characters like that in both series. Really helps it to feel like one big world.

Hahaha it's so true!! She just seems so innocent here.

Both Chuck and Jimmy underestimated each other. Jimmy underestimated Chuck's pride and how he wouldn't rest to get to the bottom of how he could make an error. "I thought you'd say 'Oh crap, I made a mistake' and go on with your life" Chuck then underestimated the emotional reaction Jimmy would have to finding out about the tape. Chuck views morality through the law and so if it's legal what he's doing (which it is) then it isn't really betrayal. Plus he maybe thinks since Jimmy already betrayed him with the document scam that this was him getting even with him. He really didn't realise how hurt Jimmy would be by this. To flesh out Chuck's plan, he managed to get a confession out of Jimmy so he knew that the story Ernie told in the hospital about calling Jimmy was a lie. So he knew that Ernie would try to help Jimmy if he let slip about the tape. The dressing down he gave Ernie was really to save his own back as well as to put a scare into Ernie. Ernie may be bound under confidentiality as Chuck said because Chuck is a partner in HHM and has an open case for the fraud etc he's accusing Jimmy of. As an employee of HHM, Ernie isn't permitted to spill details of the case publicly. Chuck basically used Ernie's good nature and loyalty to Jimmy (his friend) over Chuck (his boss) which has gotta sting Chuck's pride. The tape symbolism is one of my absolute faves. Jimmy being forced to roll it Chuck's way, with every roll reminding him of his betraying brother whilst Marco's ring sits there on his hand in the corner of his eye. He decides against doing it Chuck's way, the proper way which is slow & methodical and does it the Jimmy way, ripping it off like a band-aid and lo, there's unintended collateral with the paint edge of the M being ruined. A beautiful representation of Jimmy's self-destructive nature. I also love the touch of Francesca saying upon first meeting Jimmy "I think you're a little crooked" and of course it's Jimmy's M that's crooked, not Kim's W. Triple returns today! Gus, Victor & Francesca :D Show really kicks on from here.

Bruh, I can't believe they didn't recognize Krazy 8 and didn't recognize Francesca? 😭

The reason why Jimmy is so excited to work with Mike is i feel because he misses Chuck and Mike is like a surrogate. Jimmy needs an older brother in his life and Mike fits the bill. Loved this episode!
