Hey Everyone 😊 We hope you had a really good weekend! Last week's Asteroids Movie poll winner was Armageddon. We're very excited for an end of the world style movie. After watching Good Will Hunting, we've been getting lots of recommendations for Robin Williams movies, so we figured we'd turn them into today's poll! Thank you everyone for your suggestions ❤️❤️❤️ And don't worry if you don't see your favorite in this poll, we absolutely love watching him so there will be more of his movies in the future!

EDIT: someone put spoilers in their reply to my comment. Please ve careful reading!!! Can't miss with any of these! What Dreams May Come is probably his most underrated film and arguably his best performance!

Simone's Coconut Squire

I would like to propose Awakenings and One Hour Photo if you ever do another Robin Williams poll.

Darian Harman

It really doesn't matter, with a list like this. Damn. Each one of these films is a formative movie for me. Then you have Aladdin, Death to Smoochie, his stand-up! I'm barely even getting started. Legend.

djKENTO

One Hour Photo. Insomnia. World’s Greatest Dad. Death to Smoochy…

Brutally Goofy Buddha

There is no wrong choice when it comes to a poll of Robin Williams movies. I chose What Dreams May Come because I believe it's the most beautiful story of those being offered, but that's a personal view. All are beautiful stories, and Robin is amazing in each one...😊😊😊

Drell77

All of the above option?

Alan Black

Dead Poets Society 100%. Wonderful and heartbreaking.

Brian Leonard

Even though I have never seen it, I went with Jumanji (1995) in hopes that would lead to viewing the other Jumanji movies.

Brutally Goofy Buddha

Death to Smoochy is an underrated one almost no one ever mentions...😋

djKENTO

I love Danny DeVito’s directing work.

Nathan Jasper

The other Jumanji movies don't hold a candle to the original. You're in for a treat if that wins!

Brutally Goofy Buddha

I fell in love with Annabella Sciorra so hard watching that film, and Robin's performance in it was just heartwrenching. Willing to join her rather than be apart.

The Dingo

Maybe delete or edit the comment to avoid spoilers.

Bicentennial Man is one of my five favorite Robin Williams movies. I'm a HUGE science fiction fan who gobbled up books when I was a kid like many children ate cookies, and Isaac Asimov was one of my favorite authors.

Derwin Riley

Jumanji is one of my favorites, so good!

Dan

I grew up on the original, and I still prefer the remake, personally. I feel like the writing was more purposeful, self aware, and had more heart, whereas the original was an exercise in CGI with Williams to sell the chaos. And I like Williams enough, but I feel his mania is best utilized when it has a sense of direction, like DPS and Mrs. Doubtfire.

AztecConsulting

My advocacy for Dead Poets Society is well documented. Lol!

Alan Kobb

When you're polling about Robin Williams, you're sure to find some of your favorite movies. The man had the amazing ability to make you laugh, cry and love from one moment of screen time to the next, and most of his best movies he did without a script. I know there can be just one winner, but don't wait too long to get back to Robin Williams because the next movie selected will be just as GREAT! Proof is right there. The top 3 movies in today's poll are just a few percentage points from each other.

Rhiannon

An impossible decision!!!

Rhiannon

Another one that is a bit lesser known, but SUCH a wonderful movie - Jack.

ZoeLo

Awakenings is phenomenal and also stars Robert DeNiro.

John Colson

One Robin Williams movie that's always overlooked is Insomnia. Robin, Pacino and Directed by Christopher Nolan Oh and The Birdcage

Gary Poussard

I hope Dead Poets gets watched at some stage.

James Sharpe

You're missing what are in my opinion two of his best movies. His performances in "The World According to Garp" and "The Fisherking" are fantastic. Please put them in the mix if you decide to do another RW poll.

Irby

Flubber, Good morning Vietnam, patch adams and one hour photo

BNR

DO NOT WATCH "What dreams may come!!!" It was HORRIBLE! I still remember watching it in theaters because it was promoted so well! I looked like some fantasy adventure tale, and it was NOT WHAT WAS SOLD AS! I beg you!!

Simone's Coconut Squire

I enjoy the new movies, but in my head they share a similar relationship to the 21 Jump Street show/movies: related but a completely different take on the material.

Simone's Coconut Squire

I’m going to disagree with you. His most underrated film EVER is Being Human. My personal favorite of his, but nobody saw it. I saw it opening weekend in the theater and it’s still in my 3 favorite movies of all time.

The Dingo

Good thing marketing isnt a factor for them then! But I don't agree that marketing when it was released is a good reason not to watch today. It has an amazing story in my opinion

Guillaume Huet_rennibou

I truly love and highly recommend all movies in this poll! Except the last one that I simply don't know. It's more about what mood you are in. Mrs Doubtfire is classic comedy, Hook and Jumanji are feel-good adventure. Dead poets society is a drama movie but an incredible one. One of my favorite movies ever. I'd say top 10.

BNR

I resist going into spoiler territory to make a point, but the commercials were from the era of "In a world..." They would hype up movies with poetry and symbolism that didn't always live up to the film. Opening night to a less-than-sold-out showing, I recall people chuckling at scenes that were meant to be sad.

Noah Vogt

I voted for Mrs. Doubtfire, but I am shocked Hook is so far behind.

The Dingo

Another reactor saw it recently and had the intended reaction from the filmmakers so again the marketing isnt an issue for those not watching the trailers first

BNR

True, true!

Brien

May as well just watch all of the top 3 since they are all so close in voting.

Jack Sego

Another great Williams movie that is a whole other side of Robins acting is "One Hour Photo" . It's a great display of his range.

Patrick R.

Between Mrs. Doubtfire and Dead Poets Society, Jumanji is winning the poll?? I've just lost a bit more faith in humanity. Also, "Good Morning, Vietnam" ought to have been on that list. I hope you, Jordan and Chandra, check it out. It was one of Robin Williams' personal favourites. Oh! And The Bird Cage is superb. Nathan Lane, Robin Williams, Gene Hackman . . . so good.
