Love this one, underrated movie for sure!

Top three best moments for me: 1. Electro's Theme kicking in during the Times Square fight 2. Aunt May's "You're MY boy" speech 3. Harry in Full Goblin Mode James Franco is the better Harry, Dane Dehaan's the better Goblin Jr. Don't think I have to specify because we all know Willem Dafoe is the best Norman/Green Goblin LOL BUT I really think Dane Dehaan when he's normal Harry is the weakest part of the movie. He really had that whiny trust fund baby attitude down pat lol Everything else about it is so perfect. And now I can recommend to you the emotional comic collection Spider-Man: The Death of the Stacys which covers both Captain Stacy and Gwen Stacy's deaths Oh! And since these didn't get a third, I can tell you that Felicia in the Oscorp boardroom was Felicia Hardy aka Black Cat I cannot express how crushed I was to not get a movie with Felicity Jones as Black Cat lol that would have been awesome

My favourite Spidey! Great soundtrack. Another good Andrew Garfield movie: Never Let Me Go.

Ah, yes, can't forget those beautiful lines each Aunt May said, hinting that they know Peter is Spider-Man. Rosemary: "I believe there's a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want the most." Sally: "Maybe everyone has a part of themselves that they hide from everyone else, even the ones they love." Marisa: "What the fuck?!"

Andrew Garfield is my spiderman, however i do love all of them. Sally Field is a great aunt may, but you cannot beat "I believe there is a hero is all of us" line from Spiderman 2. However Marisa Tomei plays an AMAZING aunt may and i cant wait for you to see her version. Amazing Spiderman 2 is my favorite spiderman movie, Jaime Fox's Electro intro give me chills how awesome it was.. Oh you really need to check out the deleted scenes for this movie, one shows peters father is still alive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvNLiwXIKos

Is Felicia the Black Cat Felicia? I know the actress is from Rogue One

I think they were going to try and make a Sinister 6 movie with this Spiderman but not enough money was made

That speech from Aunt May hit hard. It really stuck with me too. And I honestly don't think I could read those comics, knowing how heartbreaking they'll be!!!

The Amazing Spider-Man #90, death of Captain Stacy. In this issue, Captain Stacy is mortally wounded after pushing a child out of the way of falling debris from Spider-Man and Doc Ock fighting. There is another difference between the movie and comic; as Spider-Man is trying to take Captain Stacy to get help, Stacy tells Spider-Man/Peter that Gwen will have no one else to look after her when he's gone and asks Peter to be good to her. At this point Peter hadn't known that Captain Stacy knew his identity but realized that he must have always known. The Amazing Spider-Man #121, death of Gwen Stacy. In this issue, Norman Osborn has another mental break and becomes the Green Goblin. Hell bent on getting revenge on Spider-Man, who he knows is Peter Parker, the Green Goblin kidnaps Gwen Stacy in order to lure Spider-Man to the George Washington Bridge. This is very similar to the stand-off in Spider-Man (2002) but without the sadistic choice (this came almost exactly from the alternate earth version in Ultimate Spider-Man #25). When Spider-Man arrives, Gwen is either knocked out or in a state of shock and not really moving. Spider-Man and Green Goblin start fighting and when Spider-Man tries going to Gwen, Green Goblin flies by and knocks her off the edge. From here, it happens very similar to the movie where Spider-Man tries to save her with a web line but is too late. When I heard that the Amazing Spider-Man movies was going to have Gwen Stacy in it I was excited to see it but also dreading it because I knew how it was going to end. After seeing these movies, I have to say that Andrew Garfield was in fact an Amazing Spider-Man, Denis Leary was a great Captain Stacy and Emma Stone was the best Gwen Stacy. I know a sequel wouldn't have brought her back but I would have loved to see her as Spider-Woman aka Spider-Gwen from Earth-65. Shailene Woodley, from Divergent, was originally cast to play MJ in Amazing Spider-Man 2 & 3 but her parts were cut from 2 to focus more on Gwen and they never made 3. I would like to have seen a sequel with MJ, Black Cat and the Sinister Six. Edit: I misremembered, the sadistic choice was just in the movie. In Ultimate Spider-Man #25 the Green Goblin was trying to get Spider-Man to choose between MJ's life and serving him. There were no other innocents in danger when he threw MJ from the bridge, Spider-Man was able to focus on saving MJ.

I'm elder Gen-X, but Tom Holland is my Spider-Man. Spider-Man was a high school kid when he made his comics debut, and Tom's version feels the most like the version I wanted to see in live action. But, both Toby and Andrew have special places in my heart. I'm so glad that you took in these movies before returning to the MCU. And that goes double for how much fun it was watching you experience them for the first time. Can't wait until we get back to Peter Parker in upcoming phases.

This film completely devastates me every time. The relationship aspect, in particular, is so well-written and reminds me of so many of my own memories, and the chemistry between Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone is so authentic that I feel incredibly sorry for her every time she dies, because she's so likable in the films.
