Hiya Folks! Are you ready for some serious madness?! Because I certainly was not haha. You'd think the title would have prepared me, but no. This movie was sooooo much fun - definitely a lot of classic Sam Raimi elements in there. The visuals blew me away, and I really loved the story... plus I looooved how creative it all was! It felt extra unique compared to a lot of the other MCU movies. YouTube: https://youtu.be/hN0md7VGbPQ

Probably my favourite post-Endgame Marvel film. For more Sam Raimi I recommend Drag Me To Hell and Darkman.

I had the privilege of seeing tis in 3D and man was that an experience. Though they didn't mention him in the film, the original Illuminati lineup in the comics included Iron Man, which explains the Ultron bots you noticed.

Love this one, was directed very well in my opinion

I think I remember people saying that, at the end, was Clea, who is Dormammu's daughter...? I think. She and Strange, apparently, had a thing in the comics. One thing I realized while watching this was that you haven't watched the show "What If...?" yet. There are a few callbacks to that show in this movie. It's a pretty cool show. You should watch that next. It's based off the comic title of the same name which fits right into this multiverse concept.

I never read any comics with America Chavez in them since she's fairly new character and I haven't read comics in decades. I do remember when she came on the scene 'cause there was profiles of her (and her creators) on the Marvel YT site. From that, I know that, yes, she is singular in the multiverse, possibly because she was born in a pocket dimension with her moms and some other people. I forgot what her place/dimension was called. But, her powers are super-strength, the ability to travel the multiverse and she can cause earthquakes when she stomps. We saw a little of that near the beginning, when she was on the ledge of that building and she stomped and broke off part of the ledge...in the shape of a star. 😁

A few years back they had a series about the Inhumans with the same actor as Blackbolt it explains who the Inhumans are they are similar to Mutants and he was their king but he could only talk with signing

If you ever watched the Evil Dead movies you can always tell Sam Rami's Directing buy the camera movements just like JJ Abrahams Lens Flare

That end scene was Dormammu's daughter and she is the current sorcery supreme in the comics.

I'm not 100% convinced that Wanda is dead. That flash of scarlet just as the temple collapses completely. Was she able to shield herself from the debris? Elizabeth Olson has said she's heard nothing about future appearances, but would be open to coming back.

I adore this movie. It is exactly what I want out of my horror/marvel comic books brought to life. Thanks for watching!

Chandra did you notice that they played a tiny bit of the animated x-men series theme when Patrick Stewart came into the scene?

This is such a Sam Raimi film. A lot of folks didn't like it, my friends included, but I definitely did. The original director of the first film, Scott Derrickson, was set to return and direct this one, but he had a disagreement with Marvel over the story. He is also a well known horror director, so it would have been interesting to see what his movie would have looked like. He directed The Black Phone and Sinister, considered one of the scariest horror movies ever made. I highly, highly recommend it. Also, as another Patron here suggested, you absolutely should watch Drag Me to Hell and Darkman from Sam Raimi. Both of those films are chock-full of Sam Raimi moments.

America Chavez is in play, one more piece on the board for when we (hopefully) get to some kind of iteration of Young Avengers and / or Champions.

Ain't no cheese like Raimi cheese! I've always found it so crazy how he can be such a fanboy for classic Hollywood film-making, and also deliver such real, human moments. The first Raimi film I ever watched was Darkman. I remember begging to rent it when I was really young, much to my parents' objections. I was obsessed with anything that sounded super-hero-y, and "Darkman" definitely fit the bill. Yeah, I should have listened to my parents. That movie scared the absolute shit out of me. Even now, Raimi is still sending chills up my spine whilst simultaneously making me laugh. I forgot how much this film leaned into the Time Runs Out story. Obviously, it won't be a beat-for-beat retelling, but some of the important building blocks are definitely there. This was a great re-watch! Thanks!

Being a Sam Raimi film, a ‘73 Oldsmobile Delta 88 appears in this too

I'm glad you saw that the Darkhold was the reason Wanda went off the rails. A lot of criticism for this film was them making Wanda the villain, that it was out of character for her. Of course it was! There is this incredibly evil magical book that has corrupted and twisted her mind. She isn't the same Wanda, she is changed. I loved this movie when I saw it in theatres, that music fight scene was so cool! As a DnD nerd, I also just love magic, demons, monsters, etc.
