Hi Everyone!A while ago while discussing Andor the subject of Han Solo's origin came up, so I figured it was time to watch this movie! And while it might not follow the books I remember so fondly, it was a great ride in it's own right. It was a ton of fun seeing the origin of so many characters (and the Falcon!), and is a nice lighter counterpoint to Andor. Hope you'll join us for Solo: A Star Wars Story!YouTube: https://youtu.be/RoaMmswV9Vc

To this day, I've not seen this movie, but I will definitely watch it with you guys.

would you both be open to checking out some star wars animation? the clone wars, rebels, and the bad batch are all fantastic.

Speaking of movie priorities: I literally watched this the first time just in order to see Emilia Clarke. Yes that's her! "You will never have a deeper sleep than curled up in a Wookie's lap."

I was wondering whether you'd recognise Warwick Davis or not! 😁His film debut was in Return Of The Jedi as Wicket, the young Ewok. He's been inseveral other Star Wars movies as well, along with Harry Potter (again, playing two different characters) I met him at a convention a few years back, really nice guy 😊 Glad you enjoyed this, it got a lot of criticism when it came out.

I dig that Jordan is fan of the old Corporate Sector Han stories. A deep cut for a young'un. Those books and Han ones from the mid 90s, are dope. Lando only got one stand alone back in the day that I remember, it was a fun read as well. I miss a lot of the Expanded Universe stuff that got relegated to Legends after Disney took over. This is a lot of garbage in there but there are also many gems. Some of the best bits from the modern continuity are re contextualized EU stuff like the Dathomir, Mount Tantiss, and Thrawn. I am hoping they get back the Old Republic at some point, a show based on those old comics would be dope. This movie is a lot of fun. To my dying day I will wish that he had gotten the Lord and Miller version of this movie but I think Ron Howard swooped in a put together a fun, beautiful, film. A bit fan-servicey at times, but fun. It is a nice full circle for Ron as his first big job as a director was WIllow which he did with Lucas as a producer and writer/creator of that character. Also, a reunion for Warwick and Ron from the WIllow days, and on top of that Warwick getting to circle back on Star Wars yet again; I think he has been in every Star Wars era since his debut as Wicket in ROTJ way back in the day. I wish it had done better so we got more, I really dig Alden Ehrenreich as Han and Donald Glover was a really nice pick for Lando. I know it is a bit blasphemous but I'd take am OT Star Wars reboot with them in those roles, or less controversially, at least another Han and Lando movie or show.
