It's nice you're watching Lord of the Rings while watching GOT. The writer, George R. R. Martin is a big fan of J. R. R. Tolkien and his works. You'll find lots of tributes to the Lord of the Rings in Game of Thrones but I'll leave you to spot them on your own. Enjoy

Going into this new season, who are your most and least favorite characters? I know people don't want tons of commentary, but it'd be nice to know at the end/beginning of each season. These characters are complex enough that your loyalties may change. What's your favorite house as well. Let us know, maybe in an upcoming episode.

Oh yes! Good idea! We'll talk about this on the next one we record (episode 3, I think).

Part of me wishes Joffrey had killed Cersei when she slapped him. She is one of his only loyal supporters lol

It wouldn't have even been that shocking if he did, knowing GOT haha

The DVD commentary has a few gems. The lord who is complaining to Brandon Stark about his keep falling apart is named lord Leadranach, which translated from old Irish means "lord boring".

“Have we met Renly?” You saw him all during season 1
