As I stated last time, I've been deep in the terminals and circuitry of my Jupiter X and so I using it on the reimagined version of this song would be a perfect fit. If you've followed along on Echo of the Night, many episodes back, while I was going through the recording process of the Dawn Escapes record, you might remember me mentioning that I spent a lot of time on a Korg MS2000 for this song and several others. This track probably had it the most. Although the Korg holds a special place in my heart, I think I just used it so much after that record, that I grew tired of it. Lately, I was in the market for a new synth. I was tempted to get another MS (we're nearing some episodes in the series now when you will learn why I don't have that keyboard anymore), but I thought it might be time for something new. I've used Jupiter sounds throughout my music over the last decade, but nothing beats the real thing: the slight fluctuations, the imperfections in timing, the custom layering with buttons rather than mouse clicks, oh, and the VOCODER! Anyway, I could go off for a while but I'll spare you. I hope you enjoy this reimagining and I hope you all are having a great summer!

Please go off more on it! :-) It's fascinating getting a peek on the process!

I used to have one of those boutique JP-08's without the keyboard so I would plug a midi controller in. I enjoyed the sound, but I once got to borrow an original Juno 60. The tone I fell in love with on the Juno 60 was so specific, it ruined a lot of synths for me. Many, many years later, my very small modular synth sits covered in a thick layer of dust.
