I know we’re only on the third (or second-and-a-half) album, but I never want this series to end. It feels good knowing I wasn’t overthinking “Islander” being intentionally put on as the only new track on Exit Lights. I always thought it was a nice touch having a song about isolation being the lonely newcomer on an album of remixes. Also, do you happen to have those spoken lines of his poetry written out anywhere? There are a couple I’ve never been able to decipher even after all these years.

During the episode you mentioned how Islander could be some people favourite track.. well, it's mine for sure. At least from your earlier albums. I truly can't express how much fulfillment I'm getting from learning the history about these tracks that mean so, so much to me. I hope I'll be able to have the chance to meet you at least once in my life, just to thank you in person.

I remember sitting in a car in Springfield Oregon with Paul Wright and Toby Mac listening to the falling up demos before crashing released. Toby called Ebel from the car to congratulate him on signing you guys. That was probably 3.5 years before the scene in your podcast. Funny how timelines reconnect
