As you all know, when I'm not writing and recording new TCAA or reimagining old FU songs, I'm working day in and day out writing music for almost anything and everything. Scoring movies and TV series is obviously my passion, but a lot of the other media platforms end up putting bread on the table in the meantime. Ads and trailers are more glamorous (like the XBOX Project Helix trailer that recently came out) but others are more behind the scenes and are often unknown outside of a tiny sphere. This song is a good example of that. I was asked to write music for a tech company to represent their annual conference. The usage went beyond just music being played over the auditorium PA system, since it was meant to introduce video presentations about the future of their company and play during the intro of keynote speakers. However, at the end of the day, it could be summarized as just music that played during the conference. And of course I'm not above any of that -- it was a job that paid me, and even though I had genre and mood perimeters, they gave me a lot of creative freedom.

But with that being said, this track as well as many others, have never been shared beyond the sphere of people who attended the conference. Therefore I thought it would be nice to start sharing some more of my work in these obscure corners I often find myself in. It's also a way of not feeling so alone. Freelance music is LONELY work. Which of course I don't mind -- I have so much respect for those who work in the server industry because I would not function well haha. But despite the solitude, I got into music in the first place to SHARE it with people. And so this is a nice way to help me feel like I'm with my fellow human beings a little bit more.

YES. I love everything about this. Like one of my favorite ambient albums is Brian Eno's Music for Airports. Being in a branding adjacent industry (web dev), there really is so much work that goes into it. It takes so many different disciplines to pull off a successful marketing campaign. I mean, I don't like watching commercials as much as the next person. But I don't mind tasteful marketing when done well. And having been in the position to watch good campaigns being created, I have a lot of respect for the many hands and skills it takes to come together to make a cohesive whole. I would absolutely love to hear more of these.

I love that someone cared about their event enough to hire a real composer. This has so much more of a personal touch than stock music would. I imagine if someone heard this later after attending this conference, they would get nostalgic feelings from the trip haha.
