As if I didn’t respect you enough already, being this honest about the lows of the creative process was so refreshing. In a time of everyone throwing highlight reels at each other, it’s such a comfort to know one of the best songwriters (and writers period) I’ve ever known has so many days like this. Personally, I’m so grateful you chose to do Patreon. Being able to support you directly like this is something I’ve always wanted. Even back in 2003, I hoped I’d have the chance to at least tell you how much your work means to me, but to be able to contribute this directly for you to create more, it’s the best thing for someone who believes so entirely that the world is made better because of the things you make. That said, take your time. I’m not going anywhere, and I know I’m not the only one who feels that way. I’ve been frustrated how quiet I’VE had to be on the Patreon/Discord lately, but that doesn’t mean the flame of support has died down for a second. Stay strong, be good to yourself, and take the time you need to make the thing YOU want to make. We’re gonna love it either way, but we’re REALLY gonna love it if it’s exactly what you wanted to make. Love ya, man. 🩵
