I find this interesting and as an audio engineer, I’d be curious to know what you were doing “wrong.” I notice that a lot of midlevel and beginner engineers get really stuck on the “rules” where as experienced guys are a lot of times like “I do whatever sounds good for the track.” Unless it sounds like absolute shit at the end I would be very hard pressed to find something wrong that an experienced engineer is doing wrong vs. whatever is there personal style. After all, that staircase mic thing that Zeppelin did on Levee was supposedly “wrong” but it created possibly the most distinctive drum parts that currently exists

Hey Jessy, looking forward to the new music! I’m also wearing all the hats as artist, songwriter producer and mixer so it’s cool to hear your perspective and Aaron‘s advice, thanks for sharing

All of that was so relatable. Despite how often I try to convince myself otherwise, it is important to hear others share similar experiences once in a while. But yeah, making music in isolation can be a trip. I hate when it all starts to become lifeless information in my DAW and my brain loses all reference points, and I no longer know if it's good or bad, or what good and bad even are....

This is really interesting insight thanks Jessy. I know you're real busy with recording the new stuff but just wondering when next Echo of the Night episode is coming or if there are any Reimagined tracks coming anytime soon?

Once I’m done with this then I’ll be back to working on reimagined and EOTN!
