The successor to Clash! is ready => Forge! 1.0 is live.

Thanks to those on the Discord for helping me find out the bugs and figure out what works.  Clearly this doesn't mean work is finished - there will always be cool new things to add.

Forge! is designed to be system-agnostic - but out of the box it includes a ready-to-play D&D 5e default setup, so you can jump in immediately or build something completely custom on the Battle-System website.

What you can do with Forge

- Run combat with a flexible initiative tracker - seriously, it's editable now (at Battle-System).

- Open and edit full unit cards during play - GM AND players.

- Manage party views with portraits, HP, and quick HUD data - Hopefully better for Streaming.

- Build custom attributes and formulas (including dice notation)

- Create reusable card layouts and list layouts

- Save/load systems with share IDs - Prototyping a game system? Share the ID with others.

- Style each system with custom themes and visuals - Add images to your cards and swap around the palette.

Battle-System Website Highlights

- Build your own attribute library

- Group attributes into named systems

- Design card layouts and tracker/list layouts

- Publish and iterate on your own game formats

If you have been wanting one place to build your own RPG workflow in Owlbear, this is it.

Also, Clash! will stay as it is. If that's your jam and you love using it, feel free to keep doing so. I don't plan on taking it down - but there won't be anymore development on it outside of the occasional bugfix.

Thank you for supporting development and helping make these bigger system-level tools possible. I even added some new tiers to the Patreon, to start making room for the larger changes to come.

.. With this wrapped up, I can focus on Chronicle! v2 and doing revisions on my own game system, which I'm running my first session on next week! After a few revisions this will also be open to playtesting with full back-end support at Battle-System and Owlbear.Rodeo.

See you soon!
