I want to address the age issue a bit, even though I just started to watch the reaction. It had to be before Anshi gave birth to the Emperor, because Luomen attended that birth, and he was made a eunuch because of the supposed doctor father of the girl. Then the child and the doctor were exiled from the palace, but the mother remained, we think. I don't think there's evidence that there was more than one daughter denied by the previous Emperor. Also, the Emperor is 36. I think Anshi had him (cringe) at the latest age 11. 15 is actually not that outrageous historically or biologically. I mentioned on a previous comment that ages are a little vague in this anime, the time could be off by a few years, and time passes in the course of the story, so you can't be too exact.

Gaoshun, I talked about in a comment before, and I explained there that I think that he only "became a eunuch" when Jinshi took up the role of a eunuch himself, and why I think that is. When he was talking to the other official, Gaoshun was only stating what people believe, that he became a eunuch, not that it is true. I think Basen and Jinshi are the same age, or very close. The Ma clan was mentioned by Basen in the last episode, saying to Maomao that the Ma clan had served Jinshi's family for generations. For Ka Zuigetsu, Ka means flower, zui here means purity, youth, beauty, and getsu means moon. Other forms of the characters are other ways he is called by some, zui also can be Rui, and getsu also can be Yue.
