About the English thing, I asked someone about this once with a game script. Basically, Japanese people will use borrowed words(just like we do) from other languages. So you get random English. But the way those words are used in Japanese is different than how it would be used in English. Smart is used in Japanese to mean "looking sharp or stylish". So it's a completely accurate translation despite changing an English word. It's the word sumato, which is based on the word smart in English. Actually, even in English smart in slang can mean cool or stylish apparently. #TheMoreYouKnow

Yeah you can use smart as a slang. And in this context no one would say you look smart when doing a move like that. The subtitle guys actually did a better job than translating as is.
