The irl obey your master, pay the butler, only won 5 races. BUT they won on four different continents internationally. The u.s, unlike Europe or Japan, has prestigious dirt races and even the turf isn't as suited for speed (power is more important there). The jockey actually went in to become a famous American jockey because of how much research they did to win. Just born in the wrong country. Props to Cygames for giving this horse a proper treatment. Also, toni's irl counterpoint stayed in Japan after their injury and became a breeder. They are the father to winning ticket, air groove and jungle Pocket(among others).

PEAK EP the person next to Rudolf in Toni’s mind is Katsuguri Ace, she’s a part of Rudolf and Mr. CB’s Generation but she’s only ever seen as very small cameos like this in any of the anime’s which is unfortunate for her fans 😭

This series is so great at making us love characters so quickly. I already want our international squad back.

WarriorOfLight

15:47 they looked eerily similar to Kitasan black and Satano diamond but of course this happens way before their time haha.

WarriorOfLight

Yes the eye aura was literally the same as jungle pocket. haha.

JobOfCm

i'm one of her fans and we'll take any drop of Ace's cameo we can get lmao. At least until she became an mc one day Also that cameo didn't happened for this specific JC in the manga and only the next JC have it

Nocover

Oh really? I wonder if they did that for a reason, maybe they’ll Include a different scene in the next Japan Cup in the anime then And yeah man the day we get a ‘83/84 Generation series I will be all over it. Would be even cooler if they make it a CinGray prequel

TheHeretic

am I the Only one who gets big Teio & McQueen vibes from Toni & Moon? lol

you probably wont read this anymore, but the reason obey your master did so good, was cause when getting introduced to her aswell as throughout the backstory, it is heavily implied the courses in america never suited her and was mostly dirt tracks. hence why she is faceplanted into the grass and often seen running into the grass next to the courses , rather then on the courses themselves. ingame she would basically have a career with almost only dirt races while have g rank dirt aptitude.
