Solid episode, liking the new characters and how heavily invested into the game mechanics this episode was

I only watched the first 5 minutes but I really want to comment on the fact you feel there are no stakes at all. Yuri is looping in time and in space, everytime yuri wins or dies they go back in time and switch to another world line like it was explained by raqio in episode 2. At the moment, the innocent crewmembers sent into cold sleep with a highrisk of dying when woken up, the gnosias caught and put into cold sleep as a death penalty, and the people killed by gnosias when the ship is jumping, all of those people without the parasite silver key stays dead in a world line yuri visit. Is it low stakes for yuri to try and want to win with the less amount of casualties possible for a particular world line and every other world lines he visits so that the people who survived there can possibly go on with their lives ? It's not in my opinion

Yeah I believe this feeling that Yuri has that he can just repeat himself will only come to bite him back as he starts to slowly think of them not as people and more as game pieces.

1:36 I don't think the show ever mentioned that. Setsu mentioned how they would not mention they are a looper because yuri could have been a gnosia. However, I can totally see that happening in one of the loops. The first loop yuri wasn't a looper but setsu was, so it kinda makes sense it could happen.

Setsu says that they're looping at different times and in different intervals, implying that they aren't always loopers in the loop together

bluestReacts

yes, that takes away all stakes lol, bc there is no stakes for our MC at all. if he wants to save as many people in each loop great, but there is ZERO stakes to his own life, which removes all feeling of stakes for me at least

Ok I see what you mean more clearly now and that's that's fair, though I am still so surprised to see this opinion and train of though about if the MC in this show doesn't risk death at the moment, then it means there are zero stakes. That's such an interesting take actualy, can't wait for the next one !
