The translation for this opening is totally fine, I do agree though that the subs for the Senjougahara opening from Nise are somewhat lackluster for Coalgirls. But tbh, I don't really actually like ANY of the translations for that opening from any of the commonly used subs groups. They all somehow miss the point even though it's like a pretty simple love song lol.

Back to back mono days? I’m here for it

Now I can give the second part of the discussion of Kaiki's introduction to Araragi in episode 3 (didn't want to risk spoiling anything, even with just a hint). Though Kaiki apparently usually uses the "dead tree" reference to the "ki" in his name, it's reasonable to conclude that he called Koyomi a sapling not only because of their age difference, but also because that's how Karen described the name "Araragi" to him. Specifically, she refers to the tree (木) from sapling/young tree (苗木). Recall that he told Koyomi he didn't need an explanation of the kanji in Koyomi's family name because "It's a name I understand already." He understood it because he had met Karen earlier that day. I'm sure I've said it before, but for those who like this kind of detail, few series reward rewatching like Monogatari. I think you're doing just fine regarding the Araragi siblings' relationships with each other. You'll get more information to work with as Nisemonogatari continues.

I wonder what the Araragi that discussed with Senjougahara in the park about doing nothing to his sisters would feel knowing what happen now lol.

Good to know. Was just one of those things where I walked away from the episode just FEELING like I had missed something or misunderstood something and that's not an easy feeling to shake with a series this complex XD

warui warui

Kaiki's verbal sparring with Karen was amazing!
