it was smart to bring Kana to do the interview, mainly because if it wasn't for her Habiko would have probably refused to do the interview, plus it promotes B Komachi further

There's no reason it couldn't be Ruby's idea while he actually made the costume, right?

yeah that's why i said it could possibly be either option

I don’t think Ruby set up fake band aids and a fake home made costume. I think she invited her cosplayer friend knowing the director would be inappropriate, giving her the opportunity to pitch her idea for the special episode. In that pitch was included that the director had to read the manga and make a cosplay outfit himself.

Another way to interpret the red string in the op are that they represent the web of lies that Aqua And Ruby have been telling and they always lead back the Ai

A good example for what the AD was talking about with suspense fiction and how they have to accommodate for brands is actually my mother. She almost got into a car accident a few years ago and practically refuses to drive a car again. So technically car manufacturers are losing out on her business. So I can see why brands would want to keep that to a minimum. Even me, after seeing so many "bad drivers" or "Idiots in cars" videos I am much more afraid of driving then i would've been otherwise. The number may seem low but there have likely been many movies that have made ppl afraid of a certain products, so it all makes sense.
