Gonna be a long comment. In episode 4 when you questioned why they would make Venetim a hero because it didn't make sense. I kinda wrote that off because not everyone, particularly people with evil intent, thinks logically. Maybe he sentenced Venetim to be a hero because it would be a form of torment to Venetim to know what's going on without being able to tell anyone? Maybe he just enjoys tormenting people? This episode with Tsav had me thinking something else. What if the guy sentencing people to be heroes (now dubbed Arbiter) isn't on the demon's side? He asked Tsav about a particular person and Tsav responded with saying his instinct told him that the person isn't someone that Tsav would care about killing. What if Arbiter knew that the person Tsav killed was a demon supporter and Tsav's instinct singled him out? Arbiter's response was to say, "Wonderful." He then made the sentence to turn Tsav into a hero. Why be so round about with this? Maybe the person behind Arbiter with Venetim's sentencing was the goddess with future sight? Maybe if they let the conspiracy out early they wouldn't get the support of the people and the demon supporters would start eliminating those who know? That would explain why Venetim had to be kept silent because it might come out too early. Venetim would also be useful convincing people later when the time is right. So, the possible goddess worked out a solution to form a hero unit that could piece it all together? One other thing. If Venetim did have a special condition set in his seal to prevent him from speaking the truth, wouldn't Norgalle be able to see it? Just some wild speculation. I love this series! I'm probably wrong and maybe the goddess has been corrupted or something. Still, this is why I love these types of shows. Gets your noggin working.
