Wow, Dead Island 1. I remember when that tear jerking trailer released and my friends and I were so into it (big zombie game fans) and did the whole reverse thing ourselves haha ^^ Ah, but sadly we lost interest in it as it became clear it was a bit ... buggy and simple, more funny and less feelings than the trailers suggested. So we skipped it, same with the 2nd game, even skipped the trailers for that one. So I'm glad I could watch them now with you :) We (my friends and I) played Dead Light instead, though. Which is quite similar in many regards. Anyway, trailer for DI2 were really funny. Much more in line with the tone of the game ^^ And that one bullet said HEI. I absoluteley have no idea about weapons or ammo, but that maybe could mean High Explosive (Incendiary?), which would explain the literal explosion. Also, you asked what the game is like. I know from reviews it has a somewhat passable story, which remains mostly in the background, though. You really only can play it in coop, I think, as solo playing gets boring too fast. Ironic with how the actual gameplay is (action, gore, ...). And yeah, the gore was the biggest selling point of the game, which I totally ubderstand. But over here in Austria, similar to Germany, don't have the PEGI classification but rather USK. And they don't like video games ^^ much gets censored. Especually blood, gore, intestines, all what makes this game special, which is the rather detailed way zombies can get ... dismantled. So, yeah, didn't sell well at all here. (btw, like your colourful shirt ^^)

Loved your breakdown as always! To answer your question about the gap between the Dead Island 2 trailers - in short, the game went through development hell and multiple studios before being picked up and finished by Dambuster Studios.

I watched the State of Play in May, but if you mean the recent XBox Showcase then, sadly, no. My gamer heart bleeds but it was too late in the night for me. Time offset is a bitch like that :( But I watched a summary the next day. Some titles I was excited for. Or rather, interested in. Black Ops 6, but more in the way of how will they manage after the debacle that were MW2 and especially MW3. State of Decay 3, MGS Snake Eater and AC Shadows. The latter again for the controversy it created. Like it seems all games and companies do nowadays. And I'm not much into Hockey (or Jerseys), but still, looks nice with all the colors. Like a popsicle or something ^^ I like it, anyway.
