In this video, I check out for the first time Rainbow Six Siege! I've heard the name but never seen anything about the game. This was an interesting one and at the end, I go over what made these work and question who these are made for. Am I the target audience, a cold caller? I also question what the delivery platform should be being that some of these are so short. I'm not kidding, I've broken wind that's lasted longer than some of these.

Regardless, it's a blast, we have some fun and see some bloody cool stuff!

Ok so for context, each video is designed to showcase that specific operator’s gadget/ability. Early operators had simple things like a sledgehammer or car batteries. So this kinda showed how gadgets got more advanced as the years went on. The in-game engine trailers were meant to showcase the new map that would be releasing along side the new operators. And these were usually revealed at live events where there’d be a panel afterwards to further explain the new operators. Also operators used to be introduced in batches according to agency. First ones were SAS, then FBI, and so on.

It's definitely funny seeing a cold caller come at this 😂. These are usually targeted at people who already play the game and are meant to tease the new character for speculation. They don't work very well as advertisements I'd say haha. Also they usually show these at pro league championships n stuff like that.

I use to play siege for 5 plus years the trailers are quite hard to explain the first section of trailers are the original operator trailers you would see when purchasing said operators. From the “operation black ice” trailer and on words they become season trailers (the seasons are titled as operations) they take a more gameplay approach as it’s not just the operators that are new with each “operation” we got a new map as well There is no real story to siege in the beginning but recently siege has taken a story driven approach this is in the cinematic trailers

Totally feel the fatigue of watching them back to back so quickly, the early ones because they were very similar looking characters being introduced rapid fire its difficult to tell when one starts and another ends. And then the later ones, the whiplash between styles is a lot... but then the characters are a lot more distinct so easier to tell them apart. Interesting that you mentioned Splinter Cell, the games are in the same universe, all of the Tom Clancy games are I think. So that was actually Sam Fisher, his line "consider this a teaching moment" is him saying that he is coming in to teach all these young new operators how the OG does it. It even had the iconic sting of the nightvision being turned on.

Ya the cinematics are different from the character trailers. They are a bit dated but some are pretty nice in my opinion 👌

Ya its good to be informed before watching that some (that you noticed) are more like actual trailers. While others are extremely short and cut heavily. This is because the first ones were just buttons you could see to preview your character, not actual trailers they post. But besides that you could see the shortness as greed from ubisoft not wanting to spend more money on them😂 they're known for it

one of my favourite rainbow 6 cinematic is "Rainbow Six Siege: The Tournament of Champions - Six Invitational 2020". you should watch it and the other cinematics if you find free time.
