That dreaded scene I was not looking forward to is here and here a lot sooner than I was expecting! We also start the epilogue in this video, another thing I wasn't expecting but this game keeps on hitting me with surprises. I love that!

Kai Note: I know some of you are going to be disappointed that the music has been cut in certain places, this was not me and is the version I sadly watched but it didn't add or subtract from the scene. I have also in my own time watched the death scene a few times and it was amazing with the music but didn't change how I felt about it, you'll see what I mean.

I believe the "Final Ride has been removed from this too, I'm sad for you guys but for me, I get to experience it when I play for myself. I have started, granted only for a few hours.

When I watch these reaction videos, I can only see what's in them so if it's been cut, to me, it never existed. This game in a bizarre way has many more surprises for me to experience.

I contemplated asking my editor to put the music in the reaction video for you guys but I think for this, you should see exactly how I'm experience it. It may not be the best but at least I'm getting a chance to experience this awesome journey in some shape. I'm very grateful.

It's sad to say that Molly gave her life away especially when she was born into a rich family but decided to leave to search for adventure and then joining Dutch and the gang living in less than ideal situations, but Dutch being Dutch had eyes on other things and Mary Beth after a while which is why Molly said "she ain't her" pointing at Mary Beth before getting shot and her family is probably never going to know about what happened to their daughter. There's so many details that you may or may never find out within the game, the love and creativity for the creation of this game makes me love it all the more after all these years.

There quite a bit of side things that you can only complete as John but it's mostly fetch quest in a way and you can meet with people from the side missions that you do as Arthur I'm pretty sure as John, don't remember exactly how long each interaction is though.

It's such a shame you can't watch it with the music, but I understand why. I hope you at least watch another version with the music on by yourself. I feel like music is such an important ingredient for a good scene like that.

I had a feeling the music would be copyrighted. I do hope you watched Arthur's final ride and death scene with the music, it's beautiful and adds so much more to the scene. One of the few games I have played where I shed a few tears. I think there are four endings to Arthur, two in each decision you select with John, a high and low honor ending. The ending you got was the good ending and what I consider the canon ending.

Yeah, this epilogue is more for the fans. The main story is over, but we get to see how exactly did john became the man from the first game, and also some loose ends here and there. it also makes more sense since this is a game and not a movie, but I love this part of the game, is kinda sad, but relaxing in a way.

I did want to mention one thing, when Arthur left the reservation and started coughing, those weren't new people that took him in. Remember the German man that Arthur and Charles saved back at the end of Chapter 2 and they were moving to the new camp at Clemens Point? That was him and his family who took care of Arthur.

I don't usually comment much but I have to disagree with a couple comments you've made about how knowing certain things about the future keeps us from being fully invested in the scene. Dramatic irony can create a different kind of investment. Knowing John is alive creates a tension between what we know and what the characters know. In this case it adds to the tension in the group itself. Our investment isn't in being in Abigail's sadness, but in the suspicion of betrayal and deception of Dutch and Micah, which leads perfectly into the big, final confrontation among the last of the gang.

Perhaps but think how we would feel not knowing. We would feel her pain, live the scene through them which ultimately leaves an impact with us. I was sad for her but I didn't feel it, I knew he was about. Not sure how or where yet but I knew. Knowing an answer isn't always a bad thing but for a scene like this, it didn't move me. A great example of knowing what's happening is in TLOU Part 2. That made me feel sick but it's because we knew what happened. Glad you commented and it's great you feel differently on the scene. Have you ever watched a prequel to something where the MC is about to die? You're never fully invested into the scene if you've seen the original. I've said it a few times, well he's alright.

Mate u gotta watch the alternative ending where u return for the money instead of helling john escape. Much more badass sendoff for arthur. There is 4 endings. 1 good and 1 bad for helping john and 1 good and 1 bad for returning for the money

In answer to your question, I was stunned that we got a Marston Epilogue. Then the sheer size of the epilogue fully knocked me over. Stick with it for some of the top moments in the game. In answer to the free roaming bit… yes and then some (it adds the map from rdr1 to the south)

I really think hosea stood a importent tipping point in dutchs mind when it came to his reason we forget arthur was not the only one who lost a family member that day, Dutch knew him even longer but he definitely dishonored his memory. To think arthur gave most of his life and "gave everything I had" just to be let down when he is at his weakest by the man who was basically his father.

For sure, we never see Dutch just by himself I think he’s a much more complicated character then people let on, who knows maybe if we played a game through his perspective it would change people minds give more reason to his madness since he’s obviously a intelligent human being he just made the wrong choices at every turn internally and externally.

You definitely have to play it for yourself, the game has much more content, conversations, interactions and whole quests that weren't included in this playthrough. You're missing out on a lot.

Would love a video reviewing all the scenes we lost in the series, specially the ride from Van Horne to Shady Bell after coming back from Guarma. Arthur's last ride to camp and his death. I'm so sad you got so taken out of it that you laughed :( but it's not your fault. Thanks for the videos.

I think I could make a case for Dutch being the best written character in gaming. Complicated is bang on the money. He’s genuinely smart (not just well read) and extremely charismatic. Thats a dangerous combination. When his mind starts to slip that means bad times for everyone in his orbit. Add to that the head injury from the trolley crash and the angel on his shoulder (Hosea) getting killed. This lets Micah (a true sociopath) build his own influence. Its definitely the best written ensemble of characters and for me, Dutch is the best of all.

I'm sad you didn't get to see the final ride with us, its a beautiful moment, prolly one of the moments people watched from the start for :/ they laid so much pipe for that moment just for it to not be there which is a shame. but thank you for your insights over this masterpiece, this and the last of us are revered as the best story games of all time, except red dead 2 has an edge because it's an open world sandbox.

Yeah no doubt thats definitely and underrated and and not spoken about enough edge that games have as a entertainment medium has thats truly unique, you are them, your successes are their successes, failures, journey. My favourite example of this is The Last Of Us Part 1. The game purposefully makes you play as Sarah because even in those short 15 minutes you are her, you've already developed a subconscious connection with her because you're seeing this big, scary thing happening as such a small girl with a small camera height. Which is why the TV show had to lay WAY more pipe for that moment to land the way it did in the game and even then its not the same. And thats not even mentioning what playing Joel does before what happens to Sarah happens, you develop a connection by playing as her, then you feel protective as playing as Joel which all ultimately fails, and that little detail of being in control of your character lifts everything, I hope you get that same lift by playing rdr2 for yourself, even knowing the story.

Sorry if I am being a bit dramatic. The musical pieces are the culmination of the journey. IMO perfectly capturing Arthur's state of mind. A man at the end of a long rough road. I understand when the reactor cuts the music from the video but still hears it themselves. This was just crushing. I figure you will do a dedicated video going over the cut stuff but I don't think it will be the same.

Ok I just saw your caption about experiencing the music scenes for yourself and that’s actually perfect to see them for the first time in your own play through. It’ll certainly hit much different.

Not including the Hamish side missions is a goddamned crime. This playthrough does not deserve the RDR2 Movie title at all.
