2/2I knew Darth Vader was in this, but oh my gawd! That boy sent shivers all over my body — this is hands down the best depiction of his entrance I’ve ever seen.

If the first video was about setting up the world, building the stakes, and introducing our heroes, then part two is the motherload — the payoff, the apogee, the best thing since sliced bread. A true Star Wars story. Chef’s kiss.

Where do we go next? I need the Force users of the community to guide me. 🙏🏻💪🏻— Kai

I remember playing this for the first time, I lost my mind at the Darth Vader reveal. The noise it makes when he drops down is just so cool to me. If I may Kai, any idea of when we could expect the next episode of Andor to drop? I’m itching to see it!

Hey! I was actually meant to film it today but I've got a cold and shit so I'm constantly snotting and my eyes are watering. Not the kind of thing you need when watching something. I'm going to hold off filming anything for a few days and then I'll block film them for you guys. I'm excited to jump back on in especially after this video. The joys of having children who are plagued with germs!

Health before anything. Rest up. Hope you feel better soon!

This rgb split / chromatic abberation in this game usually comes from the meditation (save) spots, there is a slight visual effect that appears when you're near them

Ducard

Well there is a second game of the series Jedi Survivor and if you want more Vader related there is also the series Obi-Wan.

When you spoke of watching the clone wars i cannot recommend it enough. How much it fleshed out not only that era of star wars but also the characters you think you already know. Then add all new ones. Also to add about this video I love watching you piece things together as you describe the scenes. It's always a delight.

Definitely get to Clone Wars at some point. It's a phenomenal show. It's got its few valleys of rough episodes, for sure, but the peaks of the show are some of the best Star Wars ever! The amount of characterisation it added to characters from the films was great. You think Dooku and Maul were cool in the movies? You have not seen anything yet. Even some Jedi that were only cameos in the films, like Plo Koon, turned into fan favourites all because of this show. Just be aware, if you are to cover the show, it's best to watch it in chronological order. There's a list online of the order, so it shouldn't be too hard to follow. It just keeps things connected and allows plot points to progress naturally. The show was initially an anthology series, so it was moving all over the gaff between characters, until they flattened it out in later seasons.

Bryan_53o

Definitely do clone wars and the second game

Amko Basic

Would you still have used the smoke reveal for Trilla in the beginning of the game when she comes out of the ship during the prologue considering they kind of used it for the Darth Vader reveal or do you think it would have cheapened that moment?

You mentioned early on gamers hating motion blur, I kinda have a love hate relationship with it entirely depending on the game Im playing. First person games its usually the first option I turn off, while these two games and most third person games ill usually leave it on, or really just slower rpg games like with Kingdom come deliverance 2, while it is first person its such a slower experience ill leave it on.

Hey Kai so about other Star Wars things to react to, I too recomend the Clone Wars series. It does feel more childish at times, but trust me that the spirit is ther all the way. And there are episodes that can get very dark, especially in the last seasons. But before the series, there is an animated movie called like the series, which serves as a bridge to jump to the series as it introduces some relevant and important characters that you will find growing with the series and evolving in this universe. And as a Star Wars game, one would be The Force Unleashed of course, but another one I would reccomend is the Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, which goes from Episodes 1 to 9. Its a lighthearted and Lego version of those scenes that have stayed with us Star Wars fans and reminds us why we love Star Wars, and also Lego

First thing I do anytime I launch a new game is turn off motion blur. It's good for when you're watching something but not when you're playing it. The Clone Wars is a "kids show" but it has more mature and darker moments than any of the movies. It grows with its audience over time. Some of the best Star Wars content and stories is in The Clone Wars. There's a lot of filler and fluff you can skip (there are lists out there) but overall it's great. Bad Batch and Rebels are worth your time too - and the upcoming Maul: Shadowlord series looks promising. The animation just keeps looking better and better too. You actually get to see what happened to Dathomir in The Clone Wars. It also gives you a much larger insight into Anakins gradual fall to the dark side and the relationships the Jedi built up with the Clones that eventually kill them. Overall it just really adds to the tragedy.

Pantstealer

You may feel resistant to clone wars but i promise we would all love to see you deepen your knowledge and love for these characters. As many others have said about midway through the show you feel a general dark tonal shift that remains throughout

Societii

I'd love to see you analyze the second game, Jedi Survivor! I intuitively feel like it's a big step up cinematically but that might be the Star Wars fan in me skewing my hindsight.

Would love to see you cover the clone wars, but there is a lot of fat you can trim off. There's a watch list I'd recommend you can easily find online, it cuts out the nonessential episodes, and organises them in chronological order for you. As to why, while it does start off for younger audiences, it quickly matures as the seasons go on. Culminating in some of the best star wars I think I've ever seen with it's finale (pretty much a movie split into 4 parts). Watching the clone wars will flesh out some of the mistakes of the prequels, and really paints a full picture of Anakin's gradual decline, as well as the return of Darth Maul.

Reacher

"Anakin's Betrayal" was playing during that Order 66 scene, and you go and say "it hurts more don't it, like betrayal". Well played both you and John! And yes, absolutely watch the Star Wars movies!!

Kai Zammit - Filmmaker Reacts

That's a very good question! I would have still used it because as far as you're concerned (as the player), she's the big bad. The ship hiss would have worked. Saying that, they could have blurr revealed. Cal has his view disrupted by something and then it soft focuses on her to sharp. That also would have worked but you need the camera pushing forward on Cal to also pay that off.

Amko Basic

I personally would've preferred they used the blurr reveal in that case!

themanofconnor

Yeah they definitely remixed the audio for that last confrontation with Trilla and Vader's appearance. The score is different, on top of some sound effects being removed.

Hamad AbdullaS

You wanted more animations you'll get alot of it in the second game, which is much bigger and emotional And for the side scenes they are actual in game animations and the technology wasnt so great back then You should watch the mandalorian its good

Euston

I remember absolutely losing my mind when I played this (completely blind), and Big V appeared with a Big D entrance. That was one of the fucking coolest moments I ever experienced in anything Star Wars!

Wolfe Russell

Kai the clone wars covers a very important gap of time between episode two and episode 3 it gives all of the context to why anakin was so frustrated with the jedi order

Олексій Єгоров

I just stoped the video right after u asked to write this coment. Yes. U absolutely must cover the clone wars.
