It was so interesting watching this after starting our Andor journey. This feels like the first episode of every new arc in that show—and I’m all for it.

I love the slow build; time just slipped away with the imagery. Absolutely stunning.

I’m completely exhausted now though. The sexy visual onslaught, the soundscapes, that bass—but the biggest thing for me was the world-building. I feel like I’ve learned so much about the universe, how it works, the culture and let's not forget about the scent-thrower-off-ers. Blooming visions.

Yeah, I’m wrecked and ready for a lie down… oh wait, I’ve got kids 😒

P.S. I'm not naked like this image. Jeez Father!

Looking forward to hear what you have to say about it!

Then you're definitely not ready for Pt. 2 then lol

What you’ve said is why so many people say Dune 2021 is “boring.” The slow-burn, a lot of world building, and not as much emphasis on action. I’m a sucker for the beginnings of stories so this movie has always been sensational to me. Dune Part 2 is equally as amazing, if not better than this one. I’m looking forward to your reaction to this film, and hopefully Part 2 in the future!

I mention in my post watch review, I think people or some might be put off by this type of movie. Dune 2 will 100% be happening.

It stopped me a few times talking about filmmaking which is always the best result. The visuals alone plus they did my favourite type of lighting... organic! I also stopped talking about filmmaking because I was trying to piece it together and learn.

I'm so happy you finally got to experience Dune. My biggest regret was not seeing this in the cinema. It's just absolutely captivating at every moment. Can't wait to watch your reaction!

More learning and more jaw dropping moments. I still think about these movies daily. I think Greig Fraser is one of the best cinematographers around and Denis Villeneuve is one of the best directors around. And also Timothee Chalamet is one of the best actors of this generation, he knows how to command a scene.

I absolutely loved Dune. Glad you did too.

I believe there are around 20 Books in the Dune universe with Dune 1 and 2 only covering the first book. The lore of this universe is huge. Same like Star Trek, Star Wars and Warhammer. Did you ever saw the 1984 (?) Dune movie?

Xandur

it's genuinely a fucking stunning movie. I rewatched it last year while I was still playing Dune Awakening, and I forgot just how great that film was at setting everything up. especially for cold callers like me - I still haven't read the books

It is visual eye candy, just like blade runner 2049. I honestly don't know jack about dune still, but i'd still watch more regardless due to how visually appealing it is.

I was picturing you as the picture. You ruined it. Thanks for nothing!
