My face when I looked at the duration of today's movie!

What an adventure I just went on today and I can't wait to go on it again but next time, it will be with you!

Just a little movie this week 😂. I think this holds the crown for longest movie so far on the channel. Previously held by The Batman [2022]. I honestly don't think this movie can be beaten when it comes to duration. Could this be it now... Never to be beaten.

Have a great weekend guys and before you ask, this movie will be coming to the channel very, very soon.

I rewatched this trilogy after my dad died two years ago, and I think it really helped me cope. This story, and these adaptations are so emotionally deep and so worth the runtime.

You have a great weekend too Kai, hope you'll enjoy this journey you're embarking on as much as most of us did!

Light

OMG! LFG, love these movies bro. I hope u cover the whole series... including the hobbit🤔

RobbyRob

Is this theatrical or extended edition?

RobbyRob

Good luck. It only gets longer! You can always release it in 2 parts for each movie

Kai Zammit - Filmmaker Reacts

I've not seen the Hobbit so that would be amazing! TBH, I remembered none of this movie too. Discovered I watched it nearly 24 years ago. No wonder why I didn't remember it.

Light

Dear god thats older than me kai😭😭😭😭 i prefer the hobbit actually 😅

DarK DO7

Ooooo hell yes

Skylar Ehler

Greatest trilogy ever, I watch the trilogy at least once a year

Nagaraja Jade

OMG OMG OMG Finally Finally ... Finally, Kai has landed on middle earth! Let's GOOO!

Ducard

Part 3 is close to 3 and a half hours long. Around 10 mins longer than part 1. Edit nvm that was the theatrical movie. The extended version is 4 hours and 20+ min

Light

Sorry big dog🤣

Haha when I first saw the title my first thought was you finding out how long that one cutscene in Metal Gear Solid 4 is lol. (Fun trivia fact - it had the world record for being the longest cutscene in a video game, coming in at... 71 minutes) For context; the game's overall runtime is approximately 11-12 hours and it has about 8 hours of cutscenes. You can do the math about how much gameplay time is left lol. Yeah, Kojima went fully wild with that game and I love it. I know this was out of left field and not appropriate for the discussion but I'm just really passionate about Metal Gear haha. Cheers with TLOTR though! Love those films

Sav Miller

Sorry to inform you, but this is actually the shortest of the 3 extended editions. 😂 Return of the King is 4.5 hours! Definitely worth it though. I recently went to see the Return of the King extended edition in a movie theater for the 25th anniversary. Definitely the longest time I’ve sat in a theater.

Nj-Howey

Oh yeah, im so fricken excited

Sav Miller

Back in the day, the extended edition DVDs actually split each movie across 2 separate discs. So halfway through the movie you would have to switch the discs. Plus they each had 2 additional discs worth of special features and behind the scenes content.

NinjaLantern53

Love this trilogy so much, I can't count the number of times I've rewatched these! Very much an annual tradition

Jonas B

Oh yes there is! Held the world record and everything! Though it's more clear to say it's an actual movie style sequence of cutcenes, not just one scene or something.

Nj-Howey

question, did you react to the end credit song as well? by Enya

VonEvil

I saw this post on a tiny window on Youtube and I could've sworn it was the HALO cutscene in mgs3 because of the orange light on the right side

Jonas B

Kai's teasing us lol

Kai Zammit - Filmmaker Reacts

No I didn't, I scrubbed through looking for an end credit scene which there wasn't. I know the song though by Enya. I also can't give feedback on the song if that makes sense, technique wise. If you guys want me to listen to the music I can though. Again, I feel I should always be able to give you more than just a reaction.

Nj-Howey

i feel like the soundtrack for this films are quite good, they are what help make the distinction of each location of middle earth, as well where each character comes from. just something to keep in mind when watching the next films.

Fsaitza

I cannot wait to tell you all the juicy data I have about the movie, and trilogy in general, when the time comes. I wanted and excuse to watch these again after 2 years and this is perfect. And extended edition is a mayor plus
