In this video we're checking out another game by FromSoftware and it's titled Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Oh boy this game hits hard annnnnnnd hits differently from its fellow siblings in this genre.

I think I may have found my calling!

Sekiro is the hardest FromSoft game and Elden Ring is by far the easiest imo.

Sekiro was mever my thing personally but you just can't deny what it does, it does well.

If you want something even more different, FromSoftware’s next game after Elden Ring was Armored Core VI. Big Gundam-esque battle mechs.

The reason Genichiro sounded familiar is because he's voiced by the legendary Ray Chase, and in the case of Wolf its Noshir Dalal who voiced Bode Akuna in Jedi Survivor

My favorite souls game, have a good time with it

Sekiro is easily one of my top favorite games of all time, a lot of it having to do with the incredibly satisfying combat it has. I wish the guy playing here didn’t resort to firecracker spamming though as it kind of takes away from the experience of the metal-clashing back-and-forths you’re meant to experience, but it definitely wasn’t as bad as the Elden Ring no-hit run. The Folding Screen Monkeys boss fight is more of a puzzle rather than a fight, where the monkeys are a representation of the Three Wise Monkeys, with one having great eyesight and can spot you from afar, one that can hear you coming, and one that warns the others when it spots you. Normally you’re meant to use stealth and parts of the map to take advantage of the monkey’s weaknesses but unfortunately the guy playing here kinda just brute forced it by chasing them which is why you had to skip a portion of the video lol. Nevertheless I’m excited to see more of your reactions to Sekiro, and I’ll also mention that there is an opening cinematic for the game that wasn’t included in this video, hoping you’ll react to that cutscene too!

The reason the first post bossfight cutscene looked choppy is because genichiro one is your mandated souls 'lose' fight that most have at the start, with a slightly changed cutscene if you win

I'd say the one unfortunate thing here is the no Japanese. But as I kept watching, is good that the guy is getting hit, buuut... He is a bit bad at the game. He ain't parrying as much as he should, opting to just running away or tanking the attack by spamming his. Funnily enough, this might be the game where a no hit would be good. But if they just run away like this video instead of parrying, then it will just look boring. So up to you and the others if you wanna try a different video. Basically, playing this game well makes it feel like a rhythm game.

i think its safe to say, you should definitely play the game. you will go bald from pulling your hair out but its fun

Sekiro is ps4 generation, it almost won game of the year but lost to death stranding if im not mistaken. This is the one souls game im too intimidated by to play, the system is based nearly solely around partying and clashing swords ive always been horrible at parrying in these games there ain’t no way I want to torture myself like that lol

Thinkace

the game is hard until easy but the moment it becomes easy as fk (u know how to parry everything) it becomes one of the most satisfying game to play

The way I skimmed Gamer's Little Playground and the way the community feels about them, but there "all cutscenes" video seems better than this one. Granted it seems like it skipped that 2nd Guardians Ape fight in the cave with the 2nd monkey. GLP also shows the cutscene of the 'item' the player gets for that 'immortality severed' that happened during that 2nd fight. They also did a lot more of the clashing of steel that this game intends the player to do instead of the hit and run this playthrough seems to be. GLP also covers all the endings.

This isn't an all Cutscenes video fella. This one is only the bosses. The boss videos I only want the battles normally so I can see how cool they are, admire the design work but also figure out why the game looks as good or hits as hard as it does . Top right will always tell you what the video type is. I chose this one because it showed all the bosses or most of them to my understanding. Other videos were 30 minutes long.

Fair enough, bit of a failed reading comprehension on my part but overall it was a good watch.

Man the guy playing is so bad 😭

Hey Kai so a few curiosities about Sekiro that may interest you. First of all, the name "Shadows die twice" its because one of the main differences with other souls-like games is that you can actually revive in this game, so you can have more than one chance to beat the bosses and scenarios. Also in this game there are a lost of decisions that you can make along the way that can change the game itself. For example, for the first boss that happens when you are barely 10 mins or so in the game and you can die or defeat him, but Wolf would lose his arm anyways. Also there is more than one ending, and they are based on some decisions but also on how you play the game, and that affects later on facing some bosses or avoiding them. And as you have noticed, with other souls-like games the dodging and rolling is one of the main themes in the gameplay part, and here is the parry system

Rasknitt

I wouldnt say he can fight, it's just not too difficult of a mandated loss fight and he managed to avoid the moves that are specifically designed to kill you. If he could fight you wouldnt see him getting banged about as often as he does to little miniboss dudes. He does fine enough though
