Like I mention in the beginning of the video, this game is making some noise. So much in fact, that it reached my ears in the non-gaming sphere.

Add that to the comments from you guys, the EPIC community about wanting me to cover this game or when am I going to cover it. I guess you’ve left me no choice. It’s time to get my Bond on.

Did I also mention that I’m not really a James Bond guy or an epic fan of the SPY genre. I wonder if this NEW rendition of 007 has what it takes to make me a fan of not only the game, but the IP. Let’s go one step further, let’s get crazy up in here. After covering this one single part of the game… Will I want to watch a James Bond movie!?

If it can do that… This is a diamond.

It shows you old openings at the beginning? I look forward to that then when I play it. Remember I don't really know Bond so most of it might go over my head. I'm guessing it was copyrighted. Have to remember that when we watch GLP videos.

A pleasant surprise on this lovely Friday! I will echo what others have already mentioned in the comments, though - a shame that they cut out the opening sequence. It was easily one of the major highlights from the game for me. One of the best Bond openings imo and the song was great too.

Oh man, I finished this game the other night. I have never watched any of the previous 007 stuff so I was kinda jumping in head first and I LOVED EVERY SECOND. This is defo my GOTY contender so far, even over RE Requiem. What an incredible game!.

I love this game, and who knew Bond was the bay harbour butcher!.. any Dexter fans here lol. So far this is my favourite game to come out this year (until Dawn of War 4 in september). having Lana Del Ray perform the opening song oh yes. As for Bond movies.. i would not skip out on the old classics like Sean and Roger, They have some very interesting filming styles, esp when it comes to car chases and fight scenes. So i wouldnt personally jump to the modern films to start with.

Sounds like from your intro you watched the worse bits of the worse 007/bond film! I'd love to see you react to a more modern one such a Skyfall, with cinematography by Roger Deakins, beautiful looking film (& story is very much The Dark Knight but bond!)

I caught myself yesterday thinking that this is one of the few games lately where I've been playing it and thought, "Okay, just one more mission before I go to bed," even though I promised myself I'd finish playing about an hour ago.

No way they cut out the intro, i am really dissapointed.. Shame.. what a shame. I wanted to see your reaction, its the classic Bond like intro with Lana DelRay singing, its so good!!

i legit asked my friend to check the clip on sharescreen just so he tells me if i can watch this without a spoiler i just finished the mission in this video and yh such a blast !!! and love everything u do !!!! cant wait for more (even tho i literally finished this just now.. im watching the video ofc!!!)

Booo, they cut out the opening song and title sequence. It's especially cool because it transitions into the cutscene of him walking into MI6. Also the tutorial in this might be the best I've ever seen in a game. A playable training montage. Don't think I've ever seen that in a game before.

So his articulation let him down here. They didn't show title sequences from the movies. The 007 movies have a tradition of having a song for a title sequence, in this one they got Lana del Rey, and it's one of the best Bond sequenced imo

The story of First Light is the biggest reason this game caught my attention. I've watched quite a few of the 007 movies both newer and older and I'm just not a fan of the movies or spy genre either. Besides different faces and sometimes changing up the look they just all feel the same. It suffers from the same problem as a lot of bigger and longer running IPs where they find something that works and just do the same thing over and over and over again. This game feels more like how Kingsmen took the spy genre and make it new and fun again, just a bit more grounded in a James Bond world.

Finished it this morning. The story had me on the edge of my seat you're in for a treat with what's coming up. Would 100% love to see you do a Bond Film watch through especially with the Daniel Craig movies as they all interlink with each other.

I wouldn't have minded to play this game. But I'm saving my life savings for the games coming in July and onwards. And I have plenty to play currently. So for the first time I'll be along on the ride and experience this game with you. So let's see what everyone is talking about with this game. Glad it turned out good, there was plenty of skepticism before release.

Your welcome :-) As for the 5090, I am not a tech whiz but as far as I understand; Probably not at native 4k, path tracing at that resolution is super taxing for a 5090 but DLSS ray reconstruction will help you out quite a bit. It is de-noising the noise caused by the limited number of path trace rays and up scaling the image to your target output. There is a performance impact caused by ray reconstruction but a 5090 should handle that.

Actually, First Light does not have path tracing yet, but its coming in an update. The lighting just looks that good

True, I forgot. Thank you :-) From the footage I guessed that it was not path tracing, I just wanted to mention that the game is featuring it in general or rather as you gladly pointed out is going to. The high crowd density in IO's games was first seen in Hitman Absolution in 2012, one of the few things they carried forward to the newer Hitman games. Also, there is another small series from IO called Kane and Lynch. Those are ugly games with ugly characters. The second one has some insane camera & sound glitches and aberrations e.g. when taking damage.
