Plus, the only game on the channel to ever give me goosebumps across the top of my head. I can’t recall ever getting that feeling in my life and here we are, getting that sensation from an Alien game.

Proud dad moment as I love this IP so much, been a fan since I was 6 years old.

I also chose a version of the video that included all, if not nearly all the audio logs.

I want to get the full story because like I mentioned, I love this universe but I’m too shit scarred to play it myself. Like I know I could play it but it would take me ages to build myself up to give it a true go with all my bells and whistles on.

In the intro, I mention playing a demo to both Alien Isolation 1 and 2! Yes, I’ve played 2 and it was great.

Who here has played Alien Trilogy? That game aside from this is still my all time favorite Alien game. They definitely should remake that one.

I'd call this game Sneaking Horror. This is not action horror at all. I loved the tensity of this from the very beginning to the very end. This was a dream come true as a game.

One of the coolest inventions for this game was that if you had a Playstation camera set up or some similar device you could go to settings and set it up so that any sound you the player made be it a fart, a cough, sneeze, speech you name it anything in the game could hear that. I used to shout at the characters to lure them to a spot I wanted.

When they made this game, they were given access to all of the movie assets and lighting techniques etc. That's why it looks, sounds and feels exactly like the movies :)

They did such a good job with the Alien AI, it's one of the only gaming creatures that genuinely feels real to me. The way it learns your movements and hunts you relentlessly. The perfect organism 👌

I am a veteran of horror in both movies and games since the late 80s since I started watching horror before I was ten. You don't get desentisized in this game. It keeps you in its grip till the very end. There isn't a single moment when you can relax in this game. If you want to calm down and relax you need to close the game. :D

If you see "dribble" from a vent you always know for certain the Xenomorph is there. You have to go around the vent or avoid it.

I remember the biggest thing about this thing that was scary was how you really never know when the alien is around and if it's scripted to come out or not. The AI of the alien was really hard to predict and exploit, and that added a lot of horror. Lots of other horror games lose it as soon as you learn how the enemies work. With the alien you really never knew.

Since you have mentioned Star Trek Deep Space Nine many times I've got to ask did you know that the voice actor for Janos Audron in Legacy of Kain franchise Rene Auberjonois also played Constable Odo in Deep Space Nine?

I can't recommend Silent HIll 2 Remake too much to be the next game for you after this. That game has a lot of psychological horror. Akira Yamaoka who made the musical score and all the sounds in the game is an absolute genious. I am quite sure you will get the same kind of feeling watching Silent Hill 2 remake as you did in this one.

A fun fact about this game and its design, the alien npc that chases you was coded to have basically 2 brains, one that knows where you’re at, and one that doesn’t. It’s a glorious system that lends itself to very organic scares

I ordered my favorite food just because I saw you posted this just to enjoy the watch even more. Fucking brilliant choice. The scariest game I have experienced so far. I love how it makes the player shit their pants and 90% of the time there is absolutely nothing happening. This game should've been called Alien: Gaslighting lmao. Loved it.

I found them boring I guess. I know I never liked the way they abruptly ended. For me and you'll see a theme here. I liked creatures. Aliens, Predators, Split Second which basically looked like an alien. Guyver 2, not that it's horror. Childsplay, Hellraiser, Critters, The Lawnmower Man and a few others. Everything else I just found meh, moved away from it and never went back. You can see why now, I would find a movie about a normal Great White Shark boring. Even though JAWS wasn't but for a young lad, it was. Kai

I'm only half joking when I say that this game should come with a health warning if you have a heart condition, there's never been a horror game/film quite like this.
