Thank you for continuing this series!!! I also highly recommend you guys should check out Everything Everywhere All at Once since it stars a grown up Ke Huy Quan (who plays the young Short Round here). He also won an Oscar for that role and it won best picture so I think you all might enjoy. Thx for the reaction again 🙏

I'm really looking forward for this whole Indiana Jones journey with Ivy and Katie and per usual another Fantastic and awesome work like always

Looney

I really like this movie. Another amazing choice, Munchies. Thanks for all the fun reactions 😀

You should absolutely watch the movie Everything Everywhere All at Once, the movie that Ke Huy Quan won an Oscar. It's so, so good! It's definitely the type of movie you'd love.

My Favorite Indiana Jones! So glad to see you ladies reacting to it. I hope you liked the dinner scene as much as i do! "Ah, Snake Surprise", "Chilllled Monnkey Brrrains" Pass me the Eyeball Soup and Crispy Beetles, I'm ready for this!

Luh Beef

Now THIS is a proper Indian movie :)

Christian

“No time for love, Dr. Jones!”

Matthew Davis

This movie is actually a prequel to the first. The first movie takes place in the year 1936. The second movie takes place in 1935 which is why Marian isn't there.

Even though I prefer Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade because it has a better story, I have to admit that Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is the perfect adventure movie. Many have tried to copy it, but no one has succeeded. I can hardly imagine how amazing it must have been to shoot all those crazy set pieces, no green screens, no CGI, just practical effects. The trio of heroes is also a fantastic lineup, and I think the actors have great on-screen chemistry. What I especially like is the film's duality: it’s simultaneously the darkest and yet the funniest of the Indiana Jones movies (thanks largely to Willie and Shorty😅). Since Katie is a foodie, I was curious to see her reaction to the dinner scene; it seems there are culinary delights out there that Katie isn't quite ready for yet.😅 But in all seriousness, I always make sure I’m not eating anything myself when I watch that scene, my stomach couldn't handle it. As always, that was a great reaction, ladies.💜

I remember seeing this movie when it first came out in the theaters and the summer camp I was going to took us out to see it. Let’s just say a lot of 11 year olds were scarred that day 😂 (even to this day decades later, the food scene - esp the chilled monkey brains -, the insect room and the heart pulling scene still gives me a visceral reaction despite being tame compared to modern movies).

Proto Type

"Hang on lady, we going for a ride!" & "Feels like I step on fortune cookie!" ~ Short Round 🔥🏆👲 Such an Epic Movie, and the Guy with the Whip and that Lady were good to 🏃‍♀️ 🧟‍♂️ 👺🔥

Gam

Great reaction, can ya'll react to: 'American Graffiti' 1973, and 'Ender's Game' 2013

Matthew

Just an FYI, Temple of Doom is a prequel to the first movie you both saw. It takes place one year before. The next movie takes place 2 years after the first movie. *also, side note: this is my first time watching it with subtitles. I always thought they said “Bangkok Palace” which never made sense to me. 😂 i now realize it’s actually “Pankot Palace.”

Hello Munchies ! Let's go for the "least appreciate of the original trilogy" (for what i heard). Personnaly, I like it. but not as much. For what I know, when they made this movie, The director was in a "bad moment" (if I remember correctly, i'm not sure if it's the director or someone else in the main production), so he put his inner turmoil in the movie, hence a movie way darker (even if they wanted to be like star wars and just have a second movie a little more darker and serious). It lead to the creation of a new PG with another movie. (age limitation for the public). If I remember well, in US, it's the PG 13. you can guess why! Let's have a good time For the movie We are in 1935. so one year before the first movie. And Indy say he doesn't believe in supernatural in the first one ? 😂 Spielberg wanted to make a spy movie when he created Indiana Jones. for me, this first scene whith Indy in costume is the best tribute to his original idea. "She talk too much!" Katie already understand one of Willie"s problem that make her the worst love interest of Indiana Jones! 😂 Ok both of them hate her ! 🤣🤣 We can see the club is called "club Obi-wan" !! another wink from Speilberg to Lucas ! 😅 "on many adventures" except "Indiana Jones and the emperor's tomb" game, i never saw nowhere! 😅 no, no Ivy is right. the kid short moon is the actor you were loking for. "leave her here" 🤣🤣 for me, she's the main reason the movie didn't get as good as the first one. we almost have more fun seeing her suffer than anything. 😅 "love her voice" me too...so beautifull The diner scenes, the second most famous scene of the movie. between funny and disgusting...I can't decide 🤣 if it can reassure you, when they eat bugs, it was plastic filled with normal food or something healthy like that. ( But I must confess, I had a sadistic smile for all the scene...Sorry Munchies !) If you wonder, Thugee did exist. But now, the movie exagerated a lot and there's a lot of mystery. human saccrifices, nothing proove it. killing bristish officer by strangling them, yes and with the help of the population !! Now all the rest is legend and folklore. hard to know what is true and what isn't. but the british did destroy them. "I wonder if his love story is in the game too"... well.... it's like the movies, a new girl each time when it's not an adaptation of the movies !! 😅 the room with spike and the roof going down... a classic!! 😅 ah, the sacrifice scene.... the most famous part!! (for obvious reason....) Personnaly it's the music and ambiance who get me in this scene (clearly not the heart still beating...🤢). it's also here the most proeminent supernatural thing of the movie. If you wonder, Kali is the god of destruction, avatar (different aspect) of Shiva. In Hindouism, he destroy to allow to create again. like an animal who died to allow grass to grow. it's not a "Satan-like" god or a god of darkness. but as the destruction is see as bad in western culture... "I'mma buy a whip"" 😅 no don't beat Ivy !! but I imagine you easy with one. 😉 Small detail, but I like that Mola Ram, as a hindu believer, don't know that the Hebrew's, muslim's and Christian's God is the same one !! 😅 "is he the one who welcome them" yes. The chemistry Indy-Shorty, the best thing of the movie! "like father, like son!" And let's go for Disney's ride in the cart !!!🤣 "Who are they?" the british army corps that we saw the officer during the dinner. Yeah, they arrival is a little too easy... even more as we didn't saw much of the officer. For the conclusion For me, we have a movie with dark theme, lot of humour, a very good chemistry with short-moon ( which became a real life friendship ☺️) and a very annoying love interest . To say the least !! but yes, she's pissing us a lot !!!😅 but we do feel sorry for what she endure for the sacrifice and finally seem to do something else than complain after. ... She's clearly the weak point for me. she scream too much, is not much likeable and always complaining. and it's not like Marion where they had background, she just stick around. And I feel less the adventure than the first one, it have an survival horror vibe. (we get stuck for X or Y reason in a place, let's try to get out alive while taking what we came for). Shorty is the best. Fun trivia, one day Ke Huy Quan (adult) was in the same place as harrison Ford. he find him. Ford recognize him very quickly and took him in his arms !!😁 their chemistry is so good! (unfortunatley, it's the only movie with short round. I didn't saw the 5th one...) . But even if willy is really annoying, the overall chemistry work very well. I don't like her. but inside the group, she do the comic relief with shorty very well !! Even if its the weakest of the original trilogy, I like it a lot. the comedy and the action is keeping it very good! eager to my favourites one next week !! thanks for the very good time! Have a wonderfull day, munchies !!

bob

If you girls really like this type of adventure movies, i would suggest 'Romancing the Stone' 84 and 'The Jewel of the Nile' 85. Its not Indiana Jones but its still fun, plus its features Danny DeVito :p

Alex80

My favourite Indy movie! The people who saved them at the end was the British Army. You can see the British Captain there that they met at the dinner. As others have said, you - all 4 munchies - need to watch the movie Ke Huy Quan won his oscar for, Everything Everywhere All at Once. It's an amazing, creative, unique movie with action, comedy, and emotional moments

k12345

Are you sure

Manospondylus

And it got more likes in 10 hours than the other movie did in 2 days. lmao

Manospondylus

I didn't know Short Round was born in Saigon. Says he's ethnically Chinese though. Interesting.

k12345

So you just follow what has the most likes

Manospondylus

No but it is a way for the content creators to get feedback.

Nhia Vang

This one is way better than the first one like no comparison at all.

Nhia Vang

This is the best one out of all the series.

Ke Huy Quan was in the Goonies girls. Hollywood was not very fair especially early on in western movies when it comes to casting Asians in main stream movies. Goes to show he didn't have a lot of movies in Hollywood even after this film. It wasn't until almost 40 years later Hollywood decided to honor him and gave him a few major roles and his own film knowing that his acting skills were really good even as a child. I'm happy he is finally being honor but is long pass over due in my opinion and also felt like Hollywood gave him an oscar out of pity. What can you say or do when all the creepy old white men run the movie industries right?

Kris Wustrow

Which are actor Harrison Ford's BEST films? What do you think? (other than StarWars). I'd recommend "WITNESS (1985)" and "AIR FORCE ONE". Muchines already have a great reaction for THE FUGITIVE.

King Bob

...i said it after falling down so i will say it here . ..."More Michael Douglas Movies please" ....and yes 'Romancing the Stone' 1984 and 'The Jewel of the Nile' 1985 are of the same Genre as Indiana Jones....but with significantly more Romance in "Romancing the Stone" because the Female Character is effectively the main protagonist....

King Bob

good catch with the timeline .... Temple of Doom (1984) — set in 1935 Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) — set in 1936 The Last Crusade (1989) — set in 1938... .....until you mentioned it here; I didn't even realise that Temple of Doom was a Prequal...

King Bob

.... let's be fair here he had quite a lot of movies as a child actor...it was as an adult actor his career stalled... Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) — Short Round The Goonies (1985) — Data Red Sonja (1985) — Prince Tarn ...Later he was in Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022) — played Waymond Wang, which revived his acting career. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the role. ...This revived his career and he was also in the "Loki" Marvel TV Show, (2023–2024) — played Ouroboros ("O.B.") in the Marvel series

chris brown

Great reaction as always. Two other Good Harrison ford movies are Air Force one (1997) and K-19 the widowmaker (2002)

Stefan Williams

we dont care about Indian movies stop trying to pretend we do

Chris Johnson

Makes me want to go to Disneyland and do the Indiana Jones ride. Hope the girls get the chance to go there some day.

Luh Beef

Lol it was sarcasm Stefan, relax. One of the reasons I love Temple of Doom was because India hated it, called it racist and refused to show it in their theaters.

Stefan Williams

@Luh Beef Sorry boss! wasnt replying to you. Patreon is very bad an linking our replies to whom we are replying to. I was replying to k12345.

Manospondylus

lol Wouldn't want someone thinking poorly of India....*Looks at the Ganges river*

k12345

Interesting reason to like a movie. 🤣 at all of you biting about a movie 🎣

King Bob

🙈🙈🙈🙈......have you never had Monkey brains before... neither have i but i have had Sheep brains lol....wasn't that bad but it had no real taste...

Nhia Vang

Obviously you will never understand the message I'm trying to say. Hollywood has never been fair when it comes to casting Asians in main stream movies. The fact that you don't even know that Prince Tarn in Red Sonja was play by another Asian actor show your incompetence and lack of character. Hollywood cast white actors to play Asian characters such as in Dragon Ball 2009 and that's only one example.

daniele trotta

26:34 because is a great archeologist? a uni professor of archeology? because is indiana jones? choose what you like

Love the react. If a fan of Ke Huy Quan then look at ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’

RichieBIV

This one was always my favorite of all of the Indiana movies. 😁 I'm a kid again Y'all should watch some more Ke Huy Quan. The Goonies and, of course, Everything Everywhere All at Once — the one he won the Oscar for. And F it... throw Encino Man in there too. 🥤 🍿 😃
