NIce! a great movie to watch on a weekend. Girls, make sure you have your tickets! I'ts always funny to learn that he preferred the dogs name over his actual one. A deep feeling of poignancy (bittersweet nostalgia) every time i see River Phoenix play as young Indy. Great reaction to an amazing film ladies!

24:07 I've never noticed it but the tile work on that fireplace is baller.

Yes, please! many people have suggested it and i would love to see a reaction from the Munchies. Also Munchies, please react to Labyrinth(1986).

I've always thought of this movie as the definitive end for Indy but the last two are still canon. Although the last two Indiana Jones movies aren't the best, I do think you might have fun watching them anyway. Also Katie's curly hair looks great! Thx for the fun reaction as always🙏

Bill Bryant

Love the movie and your reaction! I wish they had made Sean Connery's (Indy's dad) role more physical, he was a much tougher guy IRL. Maybe you guys should see him as James Bond, he was the best one! The next 2 movies were filmed many years later, not as good but still fun. This one (part 3) was the best IMO.

Katie is scared she is going to be Indiana's next victim lol. I feel like this was possibly the best one and a good way to wrap up the series. I don't really count the others as they were much later.

Yeah. It's my favorite in the trilogy because of the humor they added in this one. And Sean Connery is so perfect as Senior.

Hello Munchies ! yes !!! the best one (for me) ! We have all the ingredient that made the first very good (clear ennemies ( I think Indiana Jones, I think "N*z*s to beat"), travel around the world, discovering new places and legends and lot of action) but also succeded to bring the second's humour and comedy without being as dark. and the chemistry Indy and his father is the best ! (even more funny when you know they have barely 12 years of differences, but you buy that they are father and son !) and the music....this one has the best OST (of course, the iconic "raider's march/indiana jones theme" but also the grail's theme so majestic and beautifull, even the bad guy's theme is somehow cool). For me, the first one is the basic recipe of any "indiana Jones", the second is bringing the comedy but also the one too dark and over-the-top , the third one take all and magnify it ! You'll see. For the movie 🤣 just 3 sec in the movie and i'm already dead laughing !! 🤣🤣thanks for your "native american warcry" Ivy!😅 the first part whith "young indiana" is really fun. unfortunately, the actor paying "young Indy" died very young... But this part was good enough to inspired a little TV show, a video game and some novels about "young Indiana". But i love how it explained the "why" his whip, his hat and his phobia of snakes (they even explain harrison ford's scar on the chin with the whip). and the comedy in it, "chief kiss". One theory want the guy who gave his hat being Marion's father, Abner Ravenwood. but no proof. "Chi would be dying" I agree. "it's just a snake" not anymore! 🤣 The "holy grail". Well it don't exist in the bible. the entire legend of the grail come from Chrétien de Troyes (a french author from the 12th century, also considered as the "father of the Chivalry's novel" in a way). In the bible, we have Jesus, Joseph d'Arimathea (just named once) and that's all. not even a mention of his cup except for the "new alliance" he made with his apostle by drinking wine, but that's the alliance the point, not the cup. and no mention of anyone taking his blood during his execution. the entire "grail" was litreraly a "Fan-fiction" put in the "Arthurian legend" (king Arthur, Lancelot and cie) and it became so famous, it became an actual legend outside of the arthurian legend and with many forms (a cup, a plate, even a rock colour of blood). but you have the main idea here. but no actual christian myth, just a "fan-fiction" (as I like to call it) who worked so well that it stayed. But the story of the 3 knights of the first crusades in the movie don't exist. created for the movie. ☺️ "exteme old age" well if the guys came 150 years after they go... yes, "extreme old age" is accurate. "X never mark the spot" Katie spot it quick ! 🤣 "but you said" 🤣 "the Dict*tor" what ?? 😂 poor Kazim...to what is she comparing him!😅 Those were real rats !! except when they burned of course.( animal's protection) If you wonder: In total, officially, 7 crusades was called (way more in facts, between the reconquista, the baltic's crusade, the children's crusade and some who were called "crusade" but was never clasified as such....). "their base is here?" we are in Austria in 1938... If we are after march, the country is annexed at that moment. so yes... the first "girlfriend" to be actually an ennemy. it made the thing even more fun for me. We can hater her, but the situation is just so funny with the dad..."women will always be his weakness" with snakes yes !! 😂 "she talk in her sleep" "why you know??" "noooo! noooooo !" ,"I can't believe it!" 🤣🤣🤣 best joke ever !! "Ew" at the idea..but so funny! (even more your reaction 😅, best part of the reaction for me!) Hard to believe it was an improvisation from Sir Sean Connery! everyone love it so much, they rolled with it!! and I love the joke with Marcus "blending in"... 🤣🤣🤣 I prefer the austrian goodbye too !!!😅😉too bad it's not like that irl....😭🤣 "Yes We did ..." ( Ivy saw the dad) 🤣🤣 the burning of the books really happened.... it's called an "auto-dafe". They destroy everything that don't go in the same direction as their ideology (so everything that the gouverment didn't approved). "the best way to control peoples is to control what they can think or know." that's the idea. And yes, they glorified it that much. And elsa was sad because as "scientist" she didn't agreed to see knowledge and wisdow being burned. "What a narciss*st !!" 🤣 you're not wrong at all. I loved that Katie and Ivy was as scared and immobile as Indy until ad*lf began to write his autograph !!😅😂 the "ballon" is a zeppelin. the plane scene...I love this one!!😂 for once, that landing wasn't that bad! but those part is just so funny! "poor man, trying to fix his car" 😂😂 good timing !! "that works too?" Yes !! many incident happen because of birds getting in the pales or the engines... I always though the republic of Hatay was fiction. but no!! it was a state between Turkey and syria. but it lasted less than a year! A transitionnal governement as a presidential republic. it began in september 1938 and ended in july 1939 annexed by Turkey. you learn everyday! believe me, this tanks is dangerous yes. but obsolete in 1938!!😅 it's a WW1 's tank model. (but no less dangerous) "why he has to scream like that" It's the "whilhem's scream" if you listen carefully, you can hear it in many movies (all the indiana Jones, all the star wars and many others!) it's quite common to hear it. less now. but a common soundtrack to use back then. "there's no bullet" Indy certainly took ammo when he meet Sallah. the place where the grail is exist for real !! the city of Petra! Ivy saw it already in transformer 2 (the tomb's of the primes). an antics city of the nabatean kingdom in modern Jordan. -300 BC. the team was in the region for filming. they learned it exist, they visited it and ask to film in it. Penitent=someone feeling or showing deep sorrow, regret, and remorse for doing something wrong. mostly used for "remorse for our sins to God" The name of God. YHWH= Yahweh in hebrew or Iehova in latin. now, in english (or french) , it's Jehovah. for me, Elsa did betray Donovan. but she didn't know for sure which one it was. I remember Hella had a joke: "Elsa died because she didn't let it go!" 😂 Now I can't forget this joke... Hella did marked me forever ! 😅 "are they gonna live forever" No, the knight said the grail must not go it was the "price for eternal life". so it just heal them. but no eternal life. "you took the dog's name" In fact, yes!! it's the name of George Lucas's dog . 😂😂 So it's the dog's name in the movie and IRL ! 🤣 For the conclusion Katie ?? 🤣are you really worrying to be seduced by an "eternal indiana jones"? 🤣 Yes, Elsa is a ....bad one (to stay polite) and she deserved her fate. but i find her more interresting than Willie in the second one. she had more challenge and conflict to propose. willie is just a comic relief. the Dad is clearly a bad one, but the chemistry work so well, we tend to forget it. and he realize his mistake (when he though Indy was dead). in the next one, they left clue they had a more healthy relationship . but the humour and chemistry is just so fun. and yes, it explain a lot about why Indy is so reckless (he learned to be self-efficient)and don't attach himself much. You can see why it's my favourites. but also the favourites of many. they are still 2 movies, but very loved. the 4th is ok...and you'll like something in particular for sure. the 5th I didn't saw it. not the time to do so. but I heard every one saying it was nowhere as good as the others. your choice! Thanks a lot for the good times! Next week is gonna be even more fun (for those who love dark humour!) 😂 Thanks and have a good day Munchies !!

This will be good. A great Harrison Ford movie is Air force one (1997) and a great Sean Connery movie is Outland (1981)

Digitalversager

I love this movie; it’s the best of the Indiana Jones trilogy. Harrison Ford and Sean Connery are simply brilliant as the mismatched father-son duo. The humor is fantastic, and I just love stories revolving around the myths of Christ and the legend of the Grail. That huge airship was a Zeppelin, Katie. Zeppelins were the first large commercial airships, used for long-distance passenger and heavy cargo flights up until the late 1930s. There were recurring serious accidents. The Hindenburg disaster, where the ship burst into flames on camera during its landing approach in 1937, completely destroyed public confidence in Zeppelins, and they were relatively quickly replaced by airplanes, which were making great technical strides at the time. Katie, as I understand it, Indiana Jones and his father aren't immortal. The Grail doesn't just grant eternal life automatically; you have to drink from it regularly to extend your life. This means that since the Grail cannot be taken past the seal, a person has to stay in that temple forever to live eternally. The old knight does say that this is the price of immortality. I think you ladies should definitely watch more of Sean Connery (Indiana Jones's father). He is truly a legendary actor with many great films in his filmography. I’d love to recommend The Name of the Rose (1986) for a reaction. It’s a mystery thriller set in an abbey in 1327. A brilliant film and one of my all-time favorites. As always, that was a great reaction, ladies. 💜

Katie and Ivy never let us down 🙏🏻

Great reaction as always. Please react to Highlander (1986)

Joe Stüll

That funny scream you heard is called the Wilhelm scream. That scream is in countless movies. It’s very famous.

Scottish Smurf

Maybe react to the next one as it is ok at best but the last one is terrible woke garbage and flopped big time for that very reason. The Munchies should not be subjected to such rubbish.

Matthew

Great reaction. I hope you both someday get to go on the Indiana Jones ride at disneyland. Also, I don’t think the Indiana Jones and his father are immortal anymore. The knight said that the price for immortality is that the cup can never pass the seal. After it passed due of Elsa, the immortality stopped working.

MatthewJ

Surely a Katie and Ivy Monty Python and the Holy Grail reaction soon?
