No way! I was just thinking about this movie the other night and thinking the Munchies would like it. And here we are! Soooo looking forward to this one. I love this movie. And happy to see Chi in on this one 😁 **Edit** I had to watch this ASAP lol. This was so much fun. The Addams Family was a huge show in the 60's. Crazy how Uncle Fester is played by Doc Brown from Back to the Future. Everyone in this was a perfect casting. And poor Chi was almost lucky enough to miss the snake. Addams Family Values is a really good sequel. Either way, thank you ladies!!

Hello munchies !!! Oh yes !! This is gonna be fun! And with Hella this is gonna be even more fun ( this will be clearly her style ,Katie too! And I'm certain Chi will love it too) happy to see Hella more too. This is movie, if must describe it with my word, is the pinnacle of the family friendly dark gothic humour! And a huge lesson about family Let's see that! I'm all for the "munchies family" movie!! 😂 But yes , poor Katiefor the sponsoring. Chi is clearly the "mom", Hella the little sister, Katie the eldest daughter of the family full of energy and ivy the middle child. Yuna is the aunt ! 😁 For the movie! 🤣"Wedding!" It's always like that! If you wondered, Morticia said "the sun is piercing me like a knife/blade" Chi though really quick that Gordon could be the real fester! 😅 "This family is crazy" yes but so fun !! That was not French this time, Hella. ( When Gomez screamed fester wasn't the real one) It was Italian. "Is that breastfeeding?" Hella...🤣🤣 I began to think she will fit perfectly in this family! 😂 "So cute and so creepy at the same time" that's the Adam's family for you !! "They are on honeymoon for ever" honestly, if I can have a relationship a deep and passionate with my wife ( if I manage to find one...😅) I hope it will be like that. They are a good couple goal . ( Not in the creepy aspect. Just the way they are with eachother). A waltz is a dance. Mamushka !!! "Are they dead?", "Does it matter?" Savage but so funny!! "Is it a boy ?", "with three legs yes," 🤣 For the conclusions Chi summed the movie perfectly. All the spooky vibes, but in a warm family. It make us really wish to be part of it. Ye some parts are really creepy or unsettling ( in normal life) but here it's just how they are and they aren't "bad" ( like Hella said, they are open and charming to others.) they have their way of leaving but not closed to others either ! Just enjoying their life and sharing it with others in their own unique ways. I knew Hella and Katie would enjoy it! Chi , I felt she laughed a lot but didn't believe what she was hearing and seeing ( mostly by surprise than real shock). But really a wonderful time. I hope chi enjoyed as much as Hella and Katie. I really hope you'll do the second movie! Thanks for the wonderful time! Have a beautiful day munchies!

You should definitely watch The Nightmare Before Christmas! It's the perfect time for it, and one of my favorite movies of all time!

Don't forget the sequel "The Addams Family Values". I've always felt it was as good as the first.

Wow, I haven't seen The Addams Family in ages! Thanks for the nice blast from the past. The brilliant dark humor and perfect cast make it an absolute cult classic. Anjelica Huston and Raul Julia are simply unsurpassed as Morticia and Gomez. And let's not forget Christopher Lloyd (Doc Brown from Back to the Future) as Uncle Fester, he's also an absolute highlight. I have to admit, I never recognized him as a child; it wasn't until later, when I became more interested in movies and actors, that I found out it was him. 😅 A slightly more modern film that shares similar themes with The Addams Family is Dark Shadows (2012), which I’d like to recommend for a reaction. It’s a fun horror-comedy directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp. As always, that was a great reaction, ladies! 💜

Addams Family Values, the follow up film, is one of those rare gems, where the sequel is even better than the first. Christina Ricci who plays Wednesday, also acts in the recent Netflix series, "Wednesday" (but not as Wednesday.) If you are looking for more Addams Family, you must watch at least 2 or 3 episodes of the original black and white TV show ... they are still the definitive Addams Family in my opinion. If you have time in your schedule, the whole 2 seasons of the original TV show are worth watching.

Everyone's comments about Gomez and Morticia were spot on. I have seen numerous comments about their marriage being one of the most healthy marriages shown on TV ... especially when the first TV show aired in the 1950s.

The Wednesday TV show is worth checking out! Almost every kid that grew up in the 60's, 70's, and 80's, could recite the theme song to the original TV show. Call me crazy, but I think Chi could absolutely NAIL being Morticia Addams for Halloween.

They recognize it very quickly though. And I remember some spoke about Wednesday before ( but maybe Ivy). So I think they know by name but didn't make the link between them. And for the old show, honestly, you have to look for it to know. So not surprising either.

The old show was on reruns in the USA for decades. Everyone knew about it.

And you’re having trouble grasping that just because reruns of a 1960s show air in the US, doesn’t mean women in their mid-20s in Vietnam are familiar with the Show, Alex. I’d even go so far as to say that many 20-somethings in America don’t know The Addams Family. That’s certainly the case in Germany, where reruns haven’t aired in a long time anyway. Stop trying to put a negative spin on everything when it comes to the Munchies.

Funny, cuz when I asked AI about American pop culture in Vietnam a while back it said they aired the original Addams Family show in Vietnam. If you wanna talk about something non pop culture, Katie didn't know who Socrates or Freud was when they watched Bill and Ted (Ivy did at least). But what's really funny is that if you watch The Joker reaction on Asian Angels both Tien and Lan knew who Chalie Chaplin was when Arthur walks into the theater and they're showing one of his movies on the screen. They even knew the scene itself and referred to it as a famous scene. Lan herself seems to actually know the most out of the group. So please tell me why they would know Charlie Chaplin but Katie doesn't know Addams Family and Arnold Schwarzenegger? Sus.

Because they are two different people with different interests. And I’ve told you before: just because something aired in Vietnam doesn’t necessarily mean everyone watched it. Take It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, for example, the show definitely aired in Germany; my brother knew it when I asked him about it, but it completely passed me by, I only discovered it here. I don’t understand why you want to turn everything into a "gotcha" moment when, if you look at it logically, there’s usually a simple explanation.
