Yall are going to love also quick thing to know before you start this amazing anime while the anime is complete for now the manga is still ongoing and the reason for the anime hiatus was because the author got reasons sick so he couldn’t produce more chapters for the manga because the anime would catch up to quickly but now he’s been making and releasing more chapters so who knows hopefully one day we may see this anime return

I don’t disagree! It only happens because we have no say in the polls. We get all the suggestions from you guys and put every suggestion fairly in the polls! But I understand having too many opinions being an issue. We need to find a way to limit every poll maybe up to 5 shows so it’s more fun and competitive. We’ll fix that by next poll!

Calling HxH "mid" is an insane take honestly. It has the most balanced power system in anime (Nen), villains with actual depth that are better written than most main characters, and fights that are high-stakes tactical chess matches instead of just screaming and random power Kishimoto was such a massive fan of Togashi that he literally took heavy inspiration from Hunter x Hunter to create Naruto from the Chunin Exams to the entire foundation of Sasuke, the Kurta/Uchiha red-eyed clans, and the power dynamics. If HxH is "mid," then half the modern shonen you love wouldn't even exist as they are.

I said it before and I'll say it again , its so mid , if its just bout the nostalgia and nitpicking scenarios (no spoilers) that happened in the show I can 1000% tell you theres no better villain in hxh better written , character development , design etc ... better than madara , óbito , pain , akatsuki , aizen , eren , reiner , levi , jiraiya , itachi , thorfinn , luffy , lelouch , vegeta, bakugo , asta , I can named atleast 10-20 characters more before I name any of the phantoms , kurapika (wasted character just like neji and lee) leorio , gon its not even a top 10 main character , Killua only good character i give you that , playing chess scene not as good as playing shoji scene , on your feet dad! and I can keep going ..... nen , Chakra , mana , haki , ki etc... its only a name of power system and each one of those has they're own distinctive way of describing / rephrasing displaying their powers , just cause it was made before naruto , one piece , bleach , and all this newer anime doesnt mean everyone else copied it , and if they did best believe they actually bested hxh and now a days it just falls wayyyyy short than what OGs remember

don’t want to drop any spoilers for people who haven't watched it yet, but characters like Meruem and even Gon in the chimera ant arc have an incredibly high level of writing and psychological depth. ​Calling Kurapika a "wasted character" just proves you haven't followed the story: in the ongoing manga, he is literally the main protagonist right now and the entire current arc centers around him. If you want to talk about actually wasted characters, look at series like Naruto, where fan favorites like Rock Lee were completely cast aside after Part 1 and never given meaningful development again. ​At the end of the day, comparisons are subjective and it’s totally fine if you simply don't like it. But calling an anime that literally made history and inspired so much of modern shonen "mid" is just a huge exaggeration.
