Great Interview Shawn/Team I hope stuff gets done.

I like the response and attitude so far (40 min in). Listening for how the changes will be made that engages those who are inside and have the passion for the work and want to be a part of it. I have a family member inside and the turmoil inside is having a big negative impact on service to the veterans being treated. Engage the doers inside to facilitate the needed change. There are lots of good ideas and passion for change inside.

I'm a 💯 Disabled Navy Nurse Corp Officer. Education is crucial. We need more integrative care. Psychoactives important. Movement and mindfulness experiences, chiropractic care. Community vs isolation important..family included. Mental health very important. Honestly. Physical health issues need more biological focus vs care being designed around diagnostic codes. Treat the patient as individuals 😌 respecting their own perspectives. The Veteran needs to know he is heard.

30:22 PEGGY MATTHEWS!! THANK YOU!! This is the whole reason I went back to school, because the process was so convoluted that I struggled so much with it & knew my Soldiers would too. Not there yet, still having to do school and work full time, but making progress!! This was a great interview

DOUG COLLINS!! Yesss!! I live in N GA and he was my congressman (part of Gwinnett County) I was a big fan of him and his courage taking on Obama face to face. So glad Trump noticed him and kept him in kind for a nice position!! Well deserved!!!

I think with people like Doug and others will help get some of the work fixed

I’m impressed with his dedication and drive. I hope cronies don’t tie his hands. Our veteran’s have ling needed help. I’m ashamed of our government putting them in this situation. Thank you Shawn and Team.

You are a patient, man Shawn. He seems sincere, but he also has the career politician in a tactic to his communication.

I have had frustrations with the WSJ over the past few years. This interview sealed the deal for me. Canceled my subscription with them after listening.

Cutting through all the politician rhetoric and evasive terminoloy, here's an (oversimplified) way to make treatments like psychedelics, etc available to vets through the VA: waivers releasing the VA and all connected from any litigation related to adverse events or ineffecacy from experimental treatments. I don't like hearing him say he needs to see data when you can find a shocking amount of contradictory data on globally recognized treatments such as SSRIs, or even "we don't know why it works but it seems like it does" such as amphetamines for ADHD. My point being, a lack of concrete and irrefutable data has not been necessary to bring these other treatments to the mainstream, why can't we do the same thing with psychedelics? And I can't listen to him talk about money going to the wrong places or organizations when big pharma is one of the most powerful, wealthy, and corrupt organizations the world has ever seen. Kudos to Shawn and the gang for landing yet another big name for the podcast, extras kudos for continuing to press him and not back down, but at the end of the day, we need to see more action from the VA leadership and much less talk from them about how it needs to be fixed.
