OUT KANG, IN KONG ❤️😤 (iykyk)

Mimi

Sooo with you on Granny Kang—yapping and spreading rumors wasn’t enough, now she’s bullying a child too?! We all need a BREAK from her! That scene with Changyu projecting Ning— could feel every bit of her emotion. And our man Zheng… has he started upping his candy intake? He just keeps popping them 😂 The shift from “I don’t like sweets” to this—love it. Such a subtle, perfect way to show how his feelings (and their relationship) are getting stronger each day. And of course the subtle analogy between our falcon (tamed and fly back?!) and Zheng himself 😉 And I can’t wait to see more of Ms. Yu’s backstory!

Nika

Well, I don’t even eat meat & I‘d still line up at this pork stall every single day~ *happily*

Lord Li's name is Huai'an (or Huai An, not sure about the correct way of writing it) not Hua as you duscussed in chat. However, I couldn't find a translation for that. And his courtesy name is Wenkan.

Lani S

Lok was talking about Changyu's mom's name, Lihua.

Sakura

I saw someone say (on tik tok) that Tian Xiwei and Zhang Linghe would be perfect for the roles of Maomao and Jinshi in The Apothecary’s Diaries, and now I can't unsee it 🤣

Irena Kukule

Ah, ok. I guess I missed that bit. That was sometime around the scene with the parents grave, so quite logically. Thanks for correction!

Irena Kukule

Ah, I believe I mixed it up because, between the scenes with Zheng and Changyu, there were also scenes of General He and Lord Li standing near another grave. Since both of their names sound similar, I didn't think of the mother's name and went straight to Lord Li's, as his name has stuck in my memory more. My bad! Sorry.

LKTV (Lok)

YES Mimi! Granny Kang can GET OUT. Such a good call out on Zheng's sweets intake! Man needs to pop a few more candied tangerine peels and score some smooches 🥹 Ms. Yu backstory needs to happen ASAP and I can't wait for it!

Even though this is my second rewatch, I'm thoroughly enjoying your reactions and the comments. Your commentary, Lok, is an excellent first introduction to Patreon. The chemistry between TXW and ZLH is insane.

I agree about chancellor Wei yan being someone who views people as tools. I noticed that depending on where u stream the cdrama you get a different translation like in iqiyi he referres General He as a weapon while in Wetv he says "if we lose He Jingyuan." Interesting huh? And iqiyi calls the chancellor as prime minister so i thought he was. .-.
