I actually found the campfire scene really realistic in a way. Dramas are so good at always making the people and relationships perfect. This was so..... human. Him being miff and passive aggressively throwing sticks at the fire. Her trying to make light of the situation by "easily" letting him go. Neither of them saying what they actually think/feel. Him resorting to kissing her (such a dude move....). We've ALL been there. We've all had conversations with loved ones where we end up saying the wrong thing trying to protect ourselves and them. And yes, from the outside or in retrospect, it was stupid. But in the moment, it often just makes sense.
