As soon as I saw this uploaded. I knew it was time for me to binge watch your reactions from ep 19. These are the hardest episodes to watch for me that's why I need to binge it lol.

Not defending Qi Min, that man need to die for Qianqian to be really free. But yeah, he has circumstances. No one is all white or all black. We are all more in shades of gray. There’s a joke/wordplay in this episode based on how Chang Yu addresses the princess. In Mandarin, people often refer to themselves in the third person instead of directly saying “I.” So if Chang Yu came to visit you, you could say something like: “[Your name] is so glad Chang Yu arrived safely.” That said, people do still use “I” in everyday speech. Ordinary people would say wǒ (我). But members of the royal court used different self-references depending on their rank. The Emperor would say Zhèn (朕), ministers and court officials would say Chén (臣), and royal women such as the Empress, princesses and high -ranking concubines would refer to themselves as Běn Gōng (本宫), which literally means “this palace” since they were speaking on behalf of the palace they belonged to. So when the royal princess meets Chang Yu at the camp and says, “Thank you so much for saving me,” she never actually says “me” Instead, she says, “Thank you so much for saving Běn Gōng.” Chang Yu, however, had never heard court language before, so she assumed Běn Gōng was simply the princess’s name. If you go backat the scene, when the princess says, “By the way, you saved my life last time” you can hear her repeatedly referring to herself as Běn Gōng. Since Chang Yu is just a village girl, she genuinely thinks the princess is introducing herself by name. So after learning that the princess’s surname is Qi, Chang Yu blurts out: “Qi Bengong” And that’s how we end up with: Royal Princess Qi Shi, formerly the (fake) student An Su, and now the royal doctor Qi Bengong 😆

The Princess and Gongsun are two of my favorite characters in the entire show

How do you even start that conversation?! "Honey, just btw, I've been lying and I am basically the most well known and important general of the entire army. We good though right?"

Incheonguy

SIR, Spoilers will get you banned. What is that lead sentence. "We're Reunited" I have not seen this yet. I am lodging a formal complaint with this site's owner, who I know personally. He is going to have something to say about this.... Just you wait.

I appreciate your discussions at the end, so don't worry about longer rambles ^^ There are so many different POVs at times so it can be interesting. it's not the case with this show, but for me personally I sometimes can be drawn to the 'evil or crazy' charas, but if I am it's more a 'because they're crazy & evil & fun & 'broken' & interesting to understand & fictional'-way haha ^^ But in this show I'm more drawn to the adorkable pookie Gongsun :3

I am glad about your comment about Xie zheng hiding his reality. First person ever who sees his side, i see ppl always only praise changyu. He was not right here, but he was still protecting especially coz Ning was taken because of him. Also he has been brought up in hate by his uncle, he has many enemies. Thank you for seeing his, side this whole series. You are a wonderful reactor.
